It is to make sure the beneficiary knows. It is to protect them. You have no idea how many people file who aren’t eligible. There was one last year. He wasn’t allowed in the Philippines and he met a Filipino. He told her he had visa problems so after a quick 2 month relationship they decide to get married on Hong Kong. He files the CR which is quickly denied. She asks why and he said he may have had some legal issues many years ago but they are all clear now. Turns out in 2006 he was arrested for raping a 2 year old girl and then in 2009 he was arrested for raping a 6 year old boy. He was not eligible to even file but he never told his wife. She has young children that were going to follow. It isn’t about the petitioner. It is about the beneficiary. If he filed K-1 she would have known and not married him. This was not the worst story I’ve seen either. 
 
The petitioner is not always honest with the beneficiary. This is one way to help them. 

Please do not use all caps, as it makes it hard to read your message. Follow the instructions exactly as written in the RFE/221(g). Adding additional information may open a can of worms and a street you do not want to travel down.

Day 120: USCIS received our RFE response November 26th. It's only been a week but I feel like time is dragging. I just hope that we get our approval before Christmas.

I admitted I used marijuana once back in 2003 when i was in college. Which now you know you wish you didn't do if you're in the same situation. It prompted me to do a physical evaluation that now cost 2000 pesos and the miscellaneous fees of having to go back and forth the clinic. Its so stressful that i was bleeding due to it. Anyway, I did what i had to do, went in to do the physical evaluation. The doctor was very kind, relaxed and calm. Its basically just you telling a story of who you are on a personal level. Your family, background, job related, relationship related. It was about 15 minutes interview and i was done. The doctor said i can go back to the N room for instructions. I got there and the lady said i can't have the immunization until they get the results from the physical evaluation. They made me come back the next day. I went in the next day, got my immunization and results but not all of it since they said i did the evaluation they will forward it to the embassy. By the way, this happened three days before my visa interview. So imagine my stress. I kept on asking the lady in the Nroom if I'll have to reschedule my interview. She said there's still time. Fast forward to my interview, the consul never asked anything about my marijuana admission and me and my kids (k2) got our visas. 

Your RFE will be easy and quick! Ours processed very fast

RFE dated 11/27 no hard copy yet. Hopefully it will arrive quick before I go to my fiance’s country 12/14-1/14 for the holidays in case i need anything on his end.

Case approved on Nov 27th!! 

My fiancee phoned me at 1am UK time last night. I was at first pretty dazed and confused at being woken up, this made its way into mild panic that something bad must have happened. Turns out she had got home from work to find our NOA2 waiting for her!
 
We've both been having a bit of a rough time at our respective jobs recently and this good news has really lifted us. I couldn't get back to sleep until after 2am. I'm tired today, but I've got a big smile on my face!
 
Elise is visiting the UK over New Year, so hopefully NVC processing will happen before/during her visit and we'll have another milestone to celebrate!

Spent a long weekend together and tried to get our minds off of the whole process and woke up on Saturday to a notification that we got our NOA2 on Friday 11/22  was a really great moment to be able to share together

Just saw our NOA2 approval this evening on the old website! NOA1 was 29 July. Stills feel a little surreal until we get the letter in the mail. This is a great start to the weekend for us 😊 good luck to everyone else waiting for their NOA2. 

No im going to take Georian's advice and have a court wedding in the US and go back for a big celebration later.
