K-1 is to get married within 90 days of her arrival, there is no requirement to file AOS within 90 days. Don't rush, carefully compile the AOS package to avoid headaches later. Good luck.

I can't guarantee there won't be any issues, but there won't be any reason for denial of AOS because of the timing.

I arrived 1st Feb last year and I received my EAD in August. I filed mine with my AOS which I submitted in March.

If you filed for an EAD, about 6 months.

If not, about 12 months.

DS-160 must be completed prior to scheduling the interview. DS-160 can be completed now even before the P3 is mailed.

Usually you will not receive the P3 letter in the mail. Do an online service request. They will respond typically in 2 -3 days with the instruction (P3). You will need to submit D-160 and pay the visa fee, then schedule the medical afterward. Technically, you will need the P3 to complete the medical exam, although some have gotten by with just the interview confirmation. I wouldn't risk it and would just request that they email it to you via: https://vn.usembassy...a-inquiry-form/ When using the form be sure to add in the comments section the last 4 digits of your SSN or they will email you back asking for it which causes further delays.

Called this morning they told me would be 6 weeks. They said I should call back then ...needless to say was bummed but not defeated.... so I called back tonight.... Our case was recieved today! She also said shouldn't be long to get a case number because k1's are being expedited
