Husbands request to expedite his EAD due to job offer and my unemployment has been rejected twice now with no help from our congresswoman. 😪

Holy mackerel!   I was getting really worried about my case status not updating after I did biometrics on March 17. Today I checked the old website, which I thought was no longer updated, and voila! Fingerprints taken, ready to be scheduled for an interview both for me and my daughter. Honestly, if I could dance, I would  So, it's a good idea to check both my.uscis.gov and egov.uscis.gov

Well I was not going to post this as it could be a HUGE error, but I decided to post anyway as it serves to give other VJers information and also something to perhaps look out for if you are in the same boat as us. I'm a September 2019 AOS filer my AOS interview was scheduled for April 17th and due to the virus situation it was cancelled as I expected. My status changed back to case ready for interview on April 1st. Enter today April 3rd I get a text from USCIS get this..... that a new card is being produced for the I-485 form (GC)!!!!!!!!
 
No interview no advance warning no nothing. I immediately logged on to my account at USCIS and low and behold  the status is New Card Is Being Produced!!!!! Can you believe that? USCIS has been known to error before, so I really can only hold my breath until the card arrives in the mail. I'm sure this will happened to other folks here on VJ if in fact this was not an error. So we all can be on the look out for other people getting their GC without going on a interview. I know no interview was a common thing several years ago, but USCIS changed that to where everyone interviewed. The only thing I can think of other than being an error is USCIS decided that all the cancellations of interviews was going to set them way behind so they decided to clean out a few cases and approve without an interview.
 
For your information we submitted the standard AOS packet (pre February 24th). In addition to the supporting documents for the I-485, I-864, I-765 and the I-131 we did not send any other documents or evidence (besides the marriage license). I have no explanation other than what I have laid out here. I'll for sure post here once the card reaches us! What a Friday!!!!!!!!! And it's early still!!!!!

We are in the same boat. I also did biometrics the day before the offices closed in TN. No update since   the status still says "Your case was received". Sometimes I think the whole process is meant to make us the most patient people in the world  hope both of us will see some progress going on soon!

I hope we hear something soon. My husband did his biometrics March 17th - literally the day before everything closed in CA. We tried to expedite his EAD & tried to contact our local congresswoman also, but no luck.. doubt we'll get any movement on it since most offices are closed and stressed about other matters, of course.

Oh wow I'm sorry that it went like that. That sucks. I hope that the congresswoman will get back to you soon. 

I just received notification that my status has been updated to ready to schedule an interview I will be receiving the official letter in the mail in a few days. Excited to be moving along to the next step without an RFE.

I take that back, I jsut got the texts an hour ago! And looks like case was updated today - they took the fee, so I should see the check cashed soon.

My husband is adjusting from a K1, we sent our AOS packet (I-485, I-765, I-131) on Feb 18th and it arrived Feb 19th at 10AM 🙏🏻

Since you are going to send the I-131 together with the I-485 paperwork, you can send the documents listed in the I-131 cover letter example below:

Sounds like a very realistic plan. I wish you guys nothing but happiness. Next is AOS. BTW when you get to the US besure to get the Social Security out of the way, first week you are there/here.  You'll find information here on that process.

Just wanted to provide an update. My fiancé had his interview yesterday. The ASC or CAS (biometrics) did not provide a letter only a sticker on the back of his visa and at first they were denying him entrance to the consulate building (female sitting by main building door). He insisted he was not given a letter and she insisted that he was. He was told to go back to ASC and get the letter.  But he saw another person with the same situation and he spoke to another security guard and he scanned the sticker and allowed him in. He got to the line at 8:30am and came out at 1:15pm! I was waiting at Starbucks across the street!  He got approved!!! YEYYYYYY!!!! 
 
Now the waiting game begins for the actual visa....

Oh, by the way - we made our appointment for December 27th. Just booked my flight today.  Cost me a pretty penny but I will make it work!! Nervous, excited, scared, overwhelmed! Can't believe this is happening!

I don’t think so. I’ve seen timelines where people send it the same day! I would have if we had everything ready to go. Congrats!!! And good luck with everything.

I got an email 2:30AM California time from NVC notifying us that our file finally shipped! CEAC shows "in transit".

Mine wasn't working, then it finally showed up. I just checked it for you and it gave an error too. Just keep trying.

We have found the hack to work for some and for others no. Try expanding your search dates as this sometimes has helped others. And yes that is correct.
