S_&_M reacted to Ryan G in February 2020 AOS Filers (Part 2)
I have finally received the awesome notification that my interview has finally been scheduled for April 28th. I am so excited to finally be heading to the finish line and now I need to prepare all the info.
I do have one question regarding the I693. My wife completed the DS3025 during the K1 Visa process and we applied for the I-485 well before the expiration of the DS3025. The DS3025 expired in Oct of 2020 does this mean she now needs a I693 or is that requirement not pertinent because we already made it this far.

I am BEYOND stressed and I am the petitioner!
i cannot believe how incompetent this agency is. This is the most frustrating process I’ve ever gone through and no amount of money, time, or effort can make it better. Honestly most employees of this agency should be ashamed of themselves for accepting that they can suffocate immigrants hopes and dreams. I recognize I am in a more privileged situation than most and can weather the storms, but god this is incredibly painful. I think the worst is the emotional toll that it is taking on us — having zero certainty on when things will happen. I was 100% sure we’d be able to attend a friends wedding in Mexico in September (covid notwithstanding) now I am about 3%. My wife have been waiting 5 months to visit her new (and only) nephew. My wife has been out of work over a month. I hate this agency with a passion and I hope that they are required to have SERIOUS reforms and restructuring before our government gives them a nickel of bailout money.

Yes, same thing here for me, i got a letter 5 days after i done my biometrics in March. They will reuse previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics and in BOLD, “it is not necessary for you to appear at a USCIS Application Center for a biometrics appointment”
i hope this helps or clear out the confusion?🤷♂️

EAD was just updated this morning to "New card is being produced." No update on our travel waiver or AOS which were all sent together.
We were able to get Biometrics on March 16th, the day before offices closed.

I don't know why you guys still call the misinformation line. Every agent will say something different. They are not the officers working on cases. They can only see what's in their system. Which is basically what we see on the case tracker. That's why a lot of people who called was told since they were approved they would receive the card. They only saw the approval in the system and assumed everything was fine.
Also, it's not possible to call and schedule a biometric appointment. They can't do that. The appointment will come from NBC, and because of covid, the appointments are coming at a much slower rate.
I know it's not the best advice, since you guys really want to receive your EAD, but unfortunately there's nothing to do besides waiting. COVID made it all a huge mess. And unfortunately everyone will have to deal with that.

I am contacting USCIS everyday since Monday. Today also I contacted USCIS and asked when I will receive my biometric letter. Guess what I learned - My EAD and AP is approved without biometrics on 22 July 2020. It will take up to 60 days to receive it and they will contact me if they need my biometrics.
To note: There is no status update to my EAD and AP in my uscis nor egov sites.

I think it is so random that we have better chances to win a lottery than predict which cases are prioritized.

Great news my 131 and 765 were approved on July 10th but must have just updated today as I checked yesterday and it wasn't yet updated. Now I fall into the list of people waiting for the cards to come in and still waiting for my Interview to be officially scheduled. One step closer to the finish line.

Hi everyone,
Today we just found out our case was updated to show that a new card was being produced. My husband has been waiting anxiously for his EAD for a long time, especially since I was laid off because of the pandemic. And it's his birthday July 10th, so great timing!
I've never posted on VJ before, but I wanted to share the good news and give hope to everyone still waiting. We filed February 5th, the biometrics appt was on March 2nd, and the case update came on July 1st (the website was down, so we didn't see until today). Our case was at the National Benefits Center in conjunction with our i485 (no AP filed). Congratulations to everyone else who has gotten their cards and good luck to everyone else! You guys were right, this really is our month!

Congress can do little dealing with USCIS sometimes it works and other times not. Same as the expedite some times it works then others they deny!

Husbands request to expedite his EAD due to job offer and my unemployment has been rejected twice now with no help from our congresswoman. 😪
