Woohoo, they are finally starting to process October 2019 applicants! I'm a Nov 2019 filer so this is giving me hope. Congrats!

Congratulations! You should see it in your account a day later or two. Just check back tomorrow, the system always takes a bit to upload the documents.
you’ll also receive a paper in mail.

Yes you can. Most people do SSN last thing because they determine passport as more important.

We filed in April. It was finally processed this Monday. Just to give you an idea of where they are 🤣 But we applied for an ITIN which adds approx 6-8 weeks on top of regular paper filing processing delays.

Also include a copy of your bank statement showing you paid your taxes.
The reason they want transcripts is that they show that you actually filed.

This is how accurate it is - I did biometrics on February 4th, this is my current view:
my estimated case completion time was September 2020, and the little countdown went down as well until it disappeared. At the end of September, my estimated case completion time disappeared as well 😅

At the end of the form, after reviewing and clicking "submit", you'll be re-directed to online payment. I paid via credit card, got charged within minutes and received our case number momentarily.

I understand the frustration, but at least you were immediately given a new interview, and it's immediately after the DV processing ends. All Embassies strongly advise against making any travel plans prior to having visa in hand so that's another point - immediate visa issuance is never guaranteed.
Diversity visa numbers expire on September 30th. To clarify: Each lottery winner will lose their spot on September 30th and will not have the chance to immigrate to the US. I'm sure you understand that this is a pretty significant impact on people. Your IV is just delayed by a little bit, but the right to immigrate is not taken away by waiting a couple more weeks.
I give kudos to that Embassy for taking this serious and trying to process all DV winners before the expiration date of their "spot". Many other Embassies are not that helpful.
Good luck with the interview in October

What @jamrep says is 100% correct. I just traveled back from Germany on September 6th and had no issues whatsoever

Theoretically you don't need it, but practically I think they could request to see if when you apply for a new German passport, etc. When I went to pick it up the consular advised me to keep it in a safe place and make copies, because it's my only proof that I did not lose my German Citizenship when accepting the American (if it ever comes to that, looking at processing times lol)

I agree with you. I guess it just hit me so hard because they had already known about my divorce and the circumstances 3 years ago and I thought it wasn’t an issue anymore. My ex husband knows I would’ve never taken advantage of him, I proved it to USCIS a long time ago and I’m a very sincere and honest person. I didn’t think there was a need to go at me as hard as she did.
but you’re right, it’s over now and being able to vote would be wonderful. But so far I just take this, even if I really have to wait another 4 months

Newark filer here - filed January 18th, biometrics February 4th.
Newark is currently re-scheduling cancelled interviews for August ‘19 filers. I think Mt Laurel started re-scheduling October/November ‘19 filers. There’s a thread on here for Newark/Mt Laurel where folks provide updates.

Yes I am. I had applied for the BBG last year and luckily everything timed out just right. The status change only appeared on the case tracker app so far..it’s always been faster than the USCIS website. So I’m hoping it’s not a glitch..i can’t wait for this to be over.

I probably don't need to name the elephant in the room Our administration doesn't want to create more voters that oppose racism, I assume.
