Can I be honest with you? When my wife was in the Philippines, she didn’t ask me for a dime and she didn’t work. I paid for all the k1 expenses, but she never asked me for money for anything else. Maybe it’s because we knew each other before she had to go back home to the Philippines. I think you are being scammed and need to walk away. Unfortunately, easier said than done when it involves the heart. Oh yes, the spending gets worse when they are here 😂

I will guesstimate around May for your interview. Two of us on this forum, have been called for interviews around 5 months from when we filed for AOS.

Sounds about right. Since I filed a month before you and we go for our interview in 5 days. So they are really running about 5 months, not the 9-24 like they say on the website.

    Hey everyone!
I had my AOS interview yesterday.... we got approved!!! 😁 USCIS office: Indianapolis

My husband and I were called in together. They asked him most of the questions about our relationship but nothing too detailed. They were all just standard "how did you meet, how long did you date before getting engaged, where was your wedding?"

Then they asked me the long yes/no questions of "have you ever committed a crime?" Etc. So annoying 😂

The only things she asked for was to to see our birth certificates and passports/ID. That was it.

Then after looking through our application, she said "I'll approve your case!"  - my online status already shows that a new card is being produced 😊

We are so relieved this journey is over! (Well until another 2 years Haha)

Best of luck to everyone else here!! Thank you to those who helped me.
If anyone has more questions about the interview, feel free to message me!

    hows wedding ceremony?
    wedding date?
    where we met?
    honeymoon where, how many days?
any proof of relationships? (He was more interested in pictures than document, he kept all documents and pictures.)
future plans? With work and life together? We told them about our upcoming promotions and buying house in a year or two.
    approved on the spot.

We live with my mom and everything is in her name. We don't have joint anything because everything in my town requires a SSN which he doesn't have. We just explained our situation and were still approved. As long as you look genuine, I don't think it'll be a problem.

For the record, we were approved! The letter from my roommate worked out just fine. The officer read the letter in full, asked a couple of questions about splitting the rent and seemed to agree with what was said. I didn't show anything else besides my roommate's ID (the letter was also notarized). I took a copy of the rental agreement but the officer didn't ask for it, so I didn't offer it. Good luck to everyone!

I believe all EAD/AP are handled by National Benefits Office. I think there are some people on this forum that are still waiting for theirs.

We booked my wife (At that time she was my fiancé) a one way ticket because it was cheaper that way than the round trip. Obviously we are fine.

You heard wrong.  It simply does not matter, you can take whatever route is cheapest.  In our case, back then, we did a round trip ticket since it was cheaper, we set the return date out six months (the longest span the airline would allow), and when it neared that date, we canceled the return leg.  Now of course we lost a little, but we were able to use the credit for a future flight.

    Good Luck!

As others have stated, doesn't matter, go with the cheapest route. Either one way or round trip ticket.

We had our AOS interview today in New Orleans. The interview was pleasant. They provided my wife an interpreter via phone conference. They asked her general questions verifying the answers in the application. They did ask if she has ever collected assistance from a government agency. They asked me, the petitioner, how we met. I explained how we met, my visits, and when we decided to get engaged. The only documents they asked for was my 2018 w2 and my 2018 Fed Tax Return. I know they already had it, I have seen other on here being asked for it. I think they just want to see if you followed the instructions on the notice. The last thing she asked was if there was anything else I wanted to provide to her. I provide her with the proof of relationship evidence we had brought. Pictures, utility bills, bank statements and our health plan. She told us that she saw no problems and we should be approved. If she needed more we would be notified. At 2:00pm our status went to in review. After 5:00pm status changed to card ordered. Good luck !

Received my green card yesterday, seventh day after the interview and sixth day after it was approved. Had received approval notice barely within three days after the status changed to “approved” on USCIS tracker.

(Regardless of what majority says about USCIS, I am pretty impressed with their efficiency.)
