We got our interview today and we got approved!!! However, the CO never asked for our I-134 and the CEAC hasn't changed yet

I was wondering the same thing. This thread has gotten quiet lately. Lol. You can search the timelines and see approvals. Our interview is next Wednesday. Hopefully all goes well!

Although they give you a time for the appointment, both the medical and the interview are on a first come first serve basis!

Hi,
I had my interview 16 July 2019 APPROVED. Bahrain US Embassy requires 5-7 days for processing before I cal collect my passport.

Anyone here had interviews yet or have been approved?! I realize most folks move to their regions threads at this point but mine is non-existent so curious to see where everyone is at!

FOR REALS!!! During my interview there were other 6 K1 applicants and NONE of them ever heard of VisaJourney. When they saw my binder, my notes and printouts from the site they were so shocked!
I must admit I overprepared for the interview... but safe is better than sorry!
Good luck for your interview!

As long as neither your fiancee's passport nor visa have expired by the time she wants to enter the US, it doesn't matter where she goes between her interview and that (probably not an issue for you, but do not book travel that has a layover in the US, as that will count as using her K-1). It's best to leave at least some margin for error on this, because unexpected events can delay travel.

Emmandis reacted to JMK_IT in Case Ready -But No Packet 3 Naples Consulate
Not really, the only confirmation they request is the receipt of the $265 consular fee once you schedule your appointment.
Packet3 doesn't need to be brought to the interview or medical.
I recommend you this FB group for any other inquiry/doubt/advice https://www.facebook.com/groups/Italians.Who.Marry.Americans.K1.AoS/
In bocca al lupo!

I know it's hard to be patient. Remember that there was just a mid-week holiday that likely affected processing times.

You can download the Packet3 for the Naples Consulate yourself, here https://it.usembassy.gov/it/visti/iv/k1/

Emmandis reacted to golden78 in Case Ready -But No Packet 3 Naples Consulate
Hi, we are in the same boat. I also scheduled an interview before receiving packet 3. I received my packet 3 about a week later after I scheduled my interview. Have you heard anything from the consulate regarding medical interview? I scheduled my consulate interview and to my understanding the consulate schedules our medical appointment the day before our consulate interview but I have not heard from them. Does anyone know how the consulate contact us for medical appointment?

I think it makes the most sense to just bring the additional information with you to the interview on a separate sheet of paper. IF they ask about it, give it to them, inform them that THEIR system wouldn't allow you to input the info. If not, let it go. (Worse case scenario is probably getting a DS-5535 -but I wouldn't even think about that right now). The DS-160 is archaic and NOT user-friendly, the DOS knows it too. If it meticulously determined the outcome of a visa approval we would hear about it A LOT more. ...For instance: I could be wrong, but I find it hard to believe that everyone is answering the question correctly about the fiance being classified as an "immediate relative" in the U.S. There's no way that all the K visa applicants with approvals are catching that question and answering it correctly. ...Never intentionally be negligent, but don't stress the DS-160. We aren't the only ones that have seen glitches or inconsistencies on it. Just make sure you have the confirmation page and a clear barcode :).

31 days! was your case an expedited case, we can't tell really what's going on because your time line is not filled out. Your asking a question, but fill out your time line so you can get accurate responses. As of right now not many people are going to try and help unless they can look at your time line and see what's going on. Awww I see from another post of yours you mean you got approved 31 days after your answer to your RFE!!!!! But still it would not hurt to fill in your time line.

You should update your timeline, if there was no expedite request, these days that is VERY fast for a K-1 Visa Petition NOA2. Congrats.

Emmandis reacted to Greenbaum in MAY 2019 K-1 NOA2 ----> NVC
That is correct. The DS-160 can be different for each question. Your answer may trigger a new question and or a new question that the embassy is looking for.

I'm encountering this same exact problem. All these areas are left blank on the "review" page but there's no option to fill anything out in the application. I think we may have started the application before they made these updates and that is why we're missing them? Do you think we should begin a new application and this would solve the problem? Also, I have a question regarding any social media identifiers that have been changed. For example, would I have to provide my OLD Twitter identifier if I changed it but it still belongs to the same account?

I'm about to do the same. I bet it won't be a problem. After all, it's a bug in the form on their website.

Thanks, we've saved the application many times. Used Chrome and Firefox. Nothing changed. ...I'm thinking of having my fiance carry the past phone numbers and email to the interview to provide in case they ask.

^Agree! Monday I got an email from a representative at AskNVC simply stating & providing that they got my case number. Then yesterday, around 2:45pm EST I got an official email from NVC-do-not-reply@state.gov that my petition was sent to the Consulate. There was an attachment of a .doc file in the format of an official letter with a barcode and the US Dept of State letterhead. The NVC’s electronic communication has been wayyy more reliable than USCIS!

Emmandis reacted to geowrian in Wedding celebration on K1 Visa in a foreign country before filing for legal marriage in the US
DO NOT engage in any sort of marriage ceremony/celebration/whatever before entry into the US on the K-1 visa. The visa may be denied as a result, or you may be denied entry into the US, even if not legally recognized. If it is a legal marriage in any way under customary or statutory laws, it can be considered fraud to obtain or use a K-1 visa.
Just to clarify, a requirement of the K-1 visa is to marry within the US within 90 days from entry.
