A.V got a reaction from mogiftney in NOID after 470 days
If it is about the criminal part don’t waste time and try your best to get the papers.
We got a RFE about not checking a box and I made my fiancé to go to court and get info about the case he considered to be ridiculous and not worth thinking about. We were approved within couple of days after they received it.
They just want to make sure you are aware of everything, especially if it was something about domestic abuse.
And they do ask for everything even if it was expunged.
Hope you will be approved soon. Stay positive!

Fairly good week for December several approvals congrats to all and let's hope the rest of you still waiting are picked up next week or very shortly. Have you ever wondered how and why approvals seem to bring people out of the wood work? Meaning all the silent stalkers they come out in droves once they are approved. I think that's cool how the excitement of their approvals drives them to finally say something. Anyway better late than never welcome to VJ to all the silent lurkers

Certain checkboxes they are very particular about. IMBRA one, all the criminal ones. You will get a copy of 129F once your case transferred with checkmarks of where CO were going through it.

This is absolutely impossible when filing DS-160. An applicant files it online and the server will not let her proceed to the next section and/or save what has been filled in already if there is a discrepancy, even a minor one. The system is very smart and effective (though sometimes is overloaded so better wait until the US sleeps, which is easy in Ukraine). Paperwork in Ukraine is quite simple. However, let your fiancee specifically request that the company prints out her copy of DS-160 because it will be further incorporated in I-485 almost in full.

Kiev often makes the approved I-129F available to the Beneficiary by emailing it with the confirmation of readiness to schedule the interview and IMBRA pamphlet. The idea is that IMBRA requires that the Beneficiary must be well aware of the Petitioner's history, including sensitive information like previous filings and criminal history. They check this box pretty easy by mailing the whole scanned petition with approval stamp. However the mail goes to the Petitioner and it is up to them whether or not forward it to the Beneficiary. The mail is in the Beneficiary's name so it normally should be forwarded in full.

I had a friend with the same experience. He applied for a fiancée visa but his fiancée got scared and changed her mind. When he petitioned for his new fiancée, he wrote an explanation and added to his petition. They got approved and it was actually quite a long time ago.

It is not a red flag, but be prepared to be asked about it during the interview. They approved him already on 129F stage so USCIS didn't see a problem with that. Kyiv Embassy might want to confirm with you that you are aware of this fact, and might ask if are aware of the details due to violence/abuse concerns.

In my opinion there is no red flag. The woman returned to Kiev within 90 days. To me this shows that both parties had nothing but honorable intentions. Same as now! I wouldn't worry about it.

We had a rather pleasant experience calling USCIS.
Our i129f petition was received on December 18th. On April 18th, we called after lunch and the wait time just about 3-5 mins. When we spoke with Tier 1 (Michelle), we immediately asked to spoke to Tier 2. She provided information and status about our information anyway after verifying our info. She then asked if we still want to be transferred or if she provided what we needs--we asked to be transferred anyway. She was courteous, pleasant and precise. She even told us that we will be asked for the same info to verify our identity again and we're fine with that.
When we got in line to speak to tier 2, it says that the wait time is over 200 minutes. However, we were given a choice to get a call back instead after providing our name and phone number. It also says that we will not be losing our line when we hang up and wait for call back. That was nicr of them to say
After 3 hours, we got a call from Tier 2 Bernard and gave us the good news that we were approved on April 17th. He was really nice and was very happy for us. He also said that they will send out the letter soon.
No text, no email, uscis online are not yet updated. We got antsy and had to call. It was a great call
Wohoo!!

RFE, they requested new passport style photos. Not sure what was wrong with previously submitted ones. I know measurements were correct. Only thing I can think is I didn't write names on back.
Either way it is good news!! Soon will be out of USCIS purgatory!

Informed delivery shows a letter from USCIS today!! Nothing on old or new site, nor email or text. I'm kind of expecting RFE since we did a joint intent to marry letter, but fingers are crossed!! I leave in 4 days to visit so will be great to celebrate an approval!!!

Not necessarily it's still done on a case by case basis, but there is some validly in the claim that prior marriages and or children does add additional time to your case when it is being adjudicated. There still are cases where both parties have never been married and have no children or criminal records and they still get caught up. I think it's all a matter of your Adjudicator and how vigilant they are while adjudicating your case. That's why some people get updates on the websites and others don't, that's because of the Adjudicator not taking the time or forgetting to update the website after he/she is done.

Waking up on a rainy Sunday in Germany at 5 am never felt so good .. WE'RE APPROVED ❤️ Beyond grateful to get our NOA2 so quickly, more than 2 months earlier than we hoped for when we filed in December.
Here's the details:
Sent: Nov 30
Received: Dec 5th
NOA1: Dec 10th
NOA2: April 8th (received hardcopy just now, April 13th in Hawaii)
And no, neither the old or new website nor the app has been updated at any point
Heading over to the NVC thread now, but definitely still going to hang out here as well to check on some of you lovely people who are still waiting!

An RFE is not always a bad thing and you are correct at least this proves they are working on your case. I'd advise to answer the RFE as quickly and as accurately as you can and mail it back. What was the RFE for hopefully its easy to fix. No need to feel stupid it happens!!! So cheer up tell your fiance to get busy and get the RFE answered you will be fine!!!!!

Oh I feel the exact same way. For a country to be marveled as one of the few providers of technological innovations, it feels almost like a slap in the face that their government websites work nearly as little as you buying the lottery and expecting to win.
Perhaps this is just me being in a bad mood and generalizing, but anyone who gets alerted of their approvals through websites/apps/messages/phone calls feel like outliers to me.
I'm almost positive that I'm not lucky enough for that and expect to be notified through snail mail on God knows whatever date. I just hope I won't be part of the 200+ days club.
