  1. Hello,

I recently acquired my citizenship and I wanted to bring my parents here, so I can take care of them. However, I'm having trouble looking at the costs for health coverage for seniors aged 65 and above. I'm currently living in Pennsylvania, and I read some discussions that say that they would not be qualified for Pennie or Medicare. I am trying to look for other health coverage, but I'm only seeing those for 65 and below. Does anyone know any health plan that I can enroll them in?

    Thanks

  2. We had the interview in Philadelphia office today, and it was one of the most informal and longest interview I ever had. The officer was chatty and friendly, he even shared some of his personal life to us. The atmosphere was so relaxed. He would ask questions like "How is it living with him?" or "Do you miss your family?" and "Did you get to choose the paints for the house?" Quite interesting how it went. Since my partner is quite chatty himself, we were there for a good 30 minutes, I think. In the end, he said that our application was quite "positive" and that if we pass the security checks, he'll be able to take action on our case that day or tomorrow. I got an email the next day to this. It was a pleasant surprise. Good luck to everyone who are still waiting! Hang in there!

    Next CFO for the sticker

Thank you so much! You were very helpful. I wished I stumbled in this site sooner 😂

I asked the courier about not getting any message, he said the embassy sends it, not them. Lol!

  4. Thank you for the very helpful tips! I guess I'll wait before I visit my parents in the province. I expect it shouldn't be that long, since the home delivery I listed is in Manila :)

  5. I was there on Feb 26. Arrived at 7am and finished at 2:30pm. I guess the place was pretty packed because of the holiday a day before that. The next day, I was there at 8:30am, got my finger scanned, and was directed to go to counter A. I was so nervous that I had to undergo the sputum test. After two hours, I was called to the second floor to get vaccinated, wait for my results, and I was done. Praise the Lord!

Update to Form I-134, Affidavit of Support

02/13/19. Starting 05/06/19, we will only accept the 02/13/19 edition. Until then, you can use the 11/30/16 edition

Thanks for the information. I'm having my interview next week, and I'm feeling really really nervous. My partner has never visited Philippines before. I'm always the one visiting him in US. I hope that won't seem weird on their part. If I get disapproved with my K-1 visa, I hope they won't take my  visitor visa away too. I will really be crushed.

Ah so she will be having her medical exam on monday? I'm going to have my medical exam on Tuesday and I just am had my period today. I just want to know if they will let me do the urine test and physical exam..because my interview is on march 22..

Please let me know if they let her proceed or not. Thanks

I just had my medical last feb 26. I had my period then, and they just asked me to make sure no blood is mixed with the sample. If there is, you have to return and try again after an hour. Otherwise, there's no problem 😀

If the sponsor (your fiance) claims his mother on his income taxes then YES she is a dependent, if mom is not claimed on his taxes then NO she is not a dependent.   There are no PARTIAL dependents  ;)

Not on his tax return, not a dependent.

Thanks for being so helpful! I've been trying to google the answer for some time now 😅

Yes, you can go ahead and schedule the interview. Also don't forget about doing the medical soon as well.

Thanks guys! And another question, although I already posted this in another forum, I just want to make sure. In i-134 form, does the mother of the sponsor counts as a partial dependent if she works, and she is part of the household of the sponsor? Im rather confused with this because in the tax returns I believe she was never listed as a dependent of the sponsor. So would it make sense if she is listed as a partial dependent in the i-134 since she is in the same household?

  10. Our case status was updated to "ready" too 😀. We are in the process of preparing the documents already. Does anyone know who counts as dependents in the i-134? I've read that's it's usually the wife or kids that appear as dependents. But how about the mother of the sponsor? What if they are in the same household with the sponsor, but the mother is working as well? Should she be included as a partial dependent since they are in the same household?
