Hi @Mr&Mrs Marshie I just got approved by USCIS on 8/28/19 at the Texas Service Center (I filed on 3/25/19). I only know this because I checked my case status online and I was able to pull up my approval letter. I know it's recent, but I should be getting an actual letter in the mail right? Did you?...Not that that matters much, but now I am also in the same boat as you. I am planning on contacting them by the end of the week and see if they have received anything. Keep me posted on what they tell you and I'll do the same. The wait will soon be over!

Hey all!
Just found out that our case was approved on Aug 21.
We were at TSC and didn’t file a K3.
So excited! This means everyone else’s time is coming soon

bird&bear reacted to SunflowerSweet in How quickly could I go to the US?
My husband (just boyfriend at the time) from the UK visited me for two months back in 2014. His flight was booked less than a week before his visit date. We had not met in person before that. He had no job to show he needed to return to, only about $500 in cash. He had a bit more in savings and he brought a print out of his bank account for that. The only “tie” he was able to bring along was a print out showing he was enrolled in classes starting 3 months from when his visit was.
Now, all of this ended up being irrelevant because all the CBP officer asked was what was the length and purpose of his visit. “Two months, visiting my girlfriend”. Passport stamped.
Was this out of the ordinary? According to this thread, apparently. We still did try to prepare with having him fly with the savings account print out and his class transcripts, but again those are very weak ties. You sound like you were in a much better position than we were at that point. There is no magic answer or document you can show that will guarantee entry, but you should still think of what you can show in case you are asked more questions than my husband was at the time.

bird&bear reacted to bswt2 in How quickly could I go to the US?
I guess what it really comes down to is the CBP officer you are getting. What everyone here (Including myself) is telling you is their opinion, nobody knows what or even if the officer will ask, just be prepared to answer honestly as entry into the U.S. is at their discretion.

bird&bear reacted to carmel34 in Traveling to Bring My Husband to the US
I'm currently en route to Brazil to be with my husband, and this time, to bring him to the US with me. It has been a very emotional two-year journey since we first met online, met in person multiple times, got engaged, later got married in Brazil, and filed for a CR-1 visa. We were lucky and our CR-1 process only took 11 months. Now he has his CR-1 visa and is making final arrangements to make this very big change in his life, leaving the job that he loves and all of his friends and family in the city where he has lived all of his life, to move to California so that we can finally live together and wake up next to each other every day. This will be my 10th trip to be with him and my head and my heart are filled with all kinds of emotions as I sit in airports and deal with flight cancellations and make this long 30+ hour trip to be with him again. Some of our friends and family think we are both crazy for doing this, but they don't understand the power of true love to transform and change everything, the very trajectory of our lives. I'm posting this because I think sometimes we feel very alone in this journey, being so far away from the one person we love more than anything or anyone in this world. Sometimes we have doubts or fears too, if it is really all worth it. But in the end we do this for love, and to be with our husband or wife and hope that it all works out in the end. I'm sharing this with the VJ community because I think many of you understand, you may have these same emotional feelings, you're not alone! Hang in there, it will be worth all the time, money, patience, and pain of being apart, because soon you will be together and your love can continue to grow and flourish. Sometimes we get so caught up in the long bureaucratic hassles of dealing with US immigration that we forget about the bottom line for many of us--the incredible power of love! Good luck to you all in your journeys!

Yes I did get approved!
So some info--
Our I-130 was approved in 188 days from NOA1.
as of yesterday (i kept a daily tracking spreadsheet) VisaJourney adjudication estimate was between sept 7 - sept 21, which had been steadily tightening from a sept14 - oct 10 estimate in mid July.
VJ timeline data shows TSC taking an average of 232 days from NOA1 to NOA2, but you must remember that this is an aggregate of user data and will include outliers of those who successfully expedited, those who were issued RFE's, and those whose petitions have been unfortunately delayed. I think as the electronic cases start swinging in, this data might get skewed tremendously as they get processed so much faster.
Igor's List, which can be found in the processing status here, was very helkpful in keeping track of trends and the range of dates members were being approved.
If you are a February filer--- there is a lot of reason to be optimistic for the next few weeks. And March people ought to start getting antsy also

bird&bear reacted to geowrian in Why aren’t processing times consistent?
In general, things are processed first come, first serve. But it's more like a massive supermarket with 100+ checkout lanes. Some are faster than others. Some need a price check. Sometimes somebody is paying entirely with small coins. There's always somebody going faster than you, and always somebody going slower than you.
There's also things like expedites, extended background checks, verification of documents, RFEs, etc., that impact timelines.
Best thing you can do is not focus on others...you'll drive yourself mad.
It's generally faster for a USC petitioning an immediate relative than an LPR doing so, yes (even more so when PDs are not current...then it adds year(s) to the process for an LPR).

Got my NVC number today, few minutes ago actually.
Thought I'd provide an update on my situation if there's anyone out there comparing and estimating.
Centre/Center: Texas, SRC number.
Visa: CR-1
Country: United Kingdom (Scotland)
Spouse is a US Citizen.
2018-11-07 - Marriage. 2018-12-12 - I-130 mailed. 2018-12-14 - Priority Date. 2018-12-24 - NOA1 received. 2018-12-28 - Filed to change the Date of Birth for the Petitioner on the NOA1 as it was off by one year. Guessing a data entry mistake on the part of USCIS. 2019-01-15 - Date of Birth changed. 2019-07-03 - Actual Approval date. 2019-07-05 - Date I received an email notification about the approval. 2019-07-09 - Case sent to NVC. Received approval/NOA2 letter in mail. 2019-07-16 - NVC received case - I called them to confirm this and get the date they received it. 2019-08-07 - NVC case number created. dissecting the number it looks like it was created yesterday. Can't login yet, can take up to 72 hours. Going to try every so often. -

I posted this in the wrong Texas thread by accident but update time!
So it turns out that USCIS actually just forgot about us. My husband was finally able to get transferred to a tier 2 rep today and she said that our case status internally was still set to "in background check" even though the results came back in APRIL. So our case has just been sitting there since then and would have been stuck for who knows how long if we hadn't been able to get through to a tier 2 because clearly our case inquiry didn't do diddly-squat.
Anyway, she escalated our previous case inquiry so fingers crossed we hear something soon because dang it has been a long enough wait. For now I am just so relieved to hear that we aren't stuck in background checks.
