You can and you would need a statement from your employer stating if the job is permanent. But again, they can take your entire financial situation into consideration, they may not consider three months of working after a year or more of not working, not enough proof of support.

there have been people who have made enough but had a shaky financial past and were asked for joint sponsors.

to sponsor your husband you have to make at least 20575$ a year if neither of you have children or dependents.

This would be making at least 10.75$ an hour and work 40 hours every week for an entire year. Less hours or less pay won’t be enough to sponsor.

You worked for a month in 2018 therefore you had an income. File taxes.

Technically you don't have to file taxes if your income was under 12,000 for the entire year.

You should though, but you aren't legally required too.

And yes, you can write a letter stating you did not file taxes because you were not legally required to due to low income. I wrote a letter like this for both K-1 and when doing the I-864 for my husband to explain a missing tax return.

Question though: Are you the USC or the foreign spouse? I can't seem to find a straight answer looking at prior posts.

When a section has been rendered N/A by your previous answer, leave it blank.  The form actually forces that in some places anyway.  Advice to put something in every field is years out of date.

Enter "Unemployed" in item 1.  There is no need to explain in Section 7.

I wrote "SAME AS MAILING ADDRESS" into #12 and kept filling in my addresses into #14.

It says "if you answered "No" to item 11, answer 12. You did answer yes, so you can leave 12 blank. I have heard a lot that it's better to write something into the item rather than the officer thinking you had forgotten to answer the item.

If they ask about five years, then you write down all places you’ve lived for the past five years. The other place(s) you lived in those remaining 11 months must be included.

You don’t have to worry about it, that’s fine. They do not mean if you have worked for 5 years straight, they only want to know where you have worked in the last 5 years.

Yes it’s okay because you have already written the same adress in boxes 11. That is why you do not have to write the same thing again in boxes 13 as long as you write SAME in box 13a.

Personally, I would leave them blank........but I don't think putting "N/A" in the boxes will be an issue.

It said questions 40a -41 for lawful permanent resident only. Lawful permanent resident are not us citizen yet so this section not for your wife if she was born in USA. You don't need N/a for those sections only if you answer few than leave blank others which might create confusion. You still can answer no to question 41 as both options doesn't applied to her.

    hi

he doesn't need to fill out that section

this section only applies if the petitioner is a green card holder

there is a section to be filled if the petitioner is a USC

since the form applies to petitioners being residents or citizens, depending on their status they fill one section or the other. this part doesn't apply to your husband since he is a US Citizen and not a legal permanent resident

These questions are about the petitioner.  If the petitioner is a US citizen by birth, then do not answer those questions.
