As far as expiration dates on birth certificates,  yes, they used to only be accepted by Dominican officials if issued within the last six months. This has recently changed, and now there is no expiration date.

The JCE is correct. That was all I needed. 

I had the interview there last year and they didn’t ask for my affidavit.  I had everything ready just in case.  As far as co-sponsors yes they accept that but you don’t have to worry about that now. It’s been a year and my husband just got his adjustment of status interview.  I saw Co-sponsors on the affidavit of support for that.  

This is crazy, i was informed when i started the whole process that since im a citizen it was only taking 6 to 8 months and as I see this will be taking longer and longer, it’s actually veryyyy frustrated 

When filling out the I9, you must provide proof of identity, and proof of legally being able to work in the US. 
 
Some documents establish both (green card, or
US passport, for example).  In this case you would only need to provide one document. 
 
You may also provide one document that proves identity (license, foreign passport, state id, etc)  and one that proved eligibility to work( SS card, US birth certificate, visa).
 
The employer may not specify which documents you provide, nor can they ask you to provide them before a job offer is extended.

Check the list of acceptable documents for an i9 on line.  You need either one item from list A, or one item from list B AND one item from list C.  If you drive,  obtaining a duplicate license should take less than a week, and if you have lost your SS card, you may visit the office and obtain a letter stating that you have applied for a duplicate card.  This may be the easiest way to satisfy the requirements. 

The website that you use to apply for the refund for the tourist card asks you to upload a copy of your ticket, showing that you paid the $10, and a copy of proof of Dominican residence or citizenship (passport or cedula).  As long as he has either of these, and they are not expired, he will be fine. It doesn't matter which passport he uses to enter the Domincan Republic in regards to receiving the refund. 

We received confirmation of case complete over the phone on Monday, October 15th.  (The email confirmation came on Wednesday the 17th).  We were told that the next round of interviews wouldn't be scheduled until the end of this month, for December...to our surprise we received an email Saturday that said we were scheduled for November 16th!  

Yes, the mail is unreliable. My husband still hasn't received any communication through imposdom.   We have received everything via email.  
 
Moving would be no problem, just make sure to update the address with USCIS.  
 

If they aren't good at responding to these type requests, is it possible for you to write the letter, print it on company letterhead, and present it to a supervisor to sign?  This way the request isn't sitting on someone's desk, waiting until they have time to get around to it.

I believe they are only open until 11am, and they do accept walk-ins.  You must have your letter with your interview date in order to do your medical exam.  The clinic will send the results to the embassy. 
 
And yes, the spouse is allowed to attend the interview. They encourage it.

I don't know what city she is in, but if she is concerned with them accepting records from her local clinic (which I'm sure would be fine), she could go to a more well known clinic like Centro Medico, which has locations all over the country.  
 
 

For anyone using Line App to make video calls which doesn’t give call logs you can export your chat history (gives you about 6 months at a time) which shows call duration too and copy and paste into an excel document that way you can edit and remove any “sensitive” chat and Show call logs.
