The SSA issued new instructions that says that immigrants must not mail original immigration documents. They have to call and request an appointment. If the office is saying they don't accept appointments, tell them to look for the EM-21041.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT request a non-citizen to submit his or her immigration documents by mail or using the drop box. Due to DHS regulations, non-citizens are required to have their immigration documents in their possession at all times (GN 00303.610.B).
 

Yes it is we use to stress to get it done early .. but I guess we got lax.

My fiance just got home and we had our approval waiting :D!!! 
No email or notification...dated January 16th...received in the mail Jan. 22....
our NOA1 was August 24

They are not finished with July or August and they are just starting on September. You're still in regular and normal processing times. More patience.

Don't forget, you can check your mail while out of the country by signing up for USPS Informed Delivery! It's a free online service where they send notifications to your phone with pictures of incoming mail. Lots of people have been able to see their NOA2 letter arrive this way while at work or out of the country.  Don't have to wait to get home!

I am in the airport right now, waiting for my flight to Philippines, it's been a long 7 months since I have seen my fiance and our daughter. I'm hoping to come back to that NOA2 in my mailbox when I return in a few weeks. I'm happy to see so many approvals, and all of the awesome help everyone is providing.

Received Hard Copy NOA2 today. The notice date is actually 10 Jan 19, as oppose to 11 Jan 19 as the email and websites stated. I already updated my timeline on the website. and just added a note regarding this on my signature timeline. 

Yep just updated today online. Hoping it doesn't take long. I'm pregnant due may 31. Was hoping to be there before I'm due since I don't need to fly but not sure now.

We sent 3 letter of intent. 1 letter for each of us and 1 letter with both our signature in it (to be so sure). We got approved yesterday (143 days). 😋

Also I found dream wall to be mildly amusing. 

I have interview next month! What happens if the president decides that he likes to shut down the government over his dream wall! Should i consider the interview cancelled and if it goes on pending? How longer could it take to be re-scheduled? Would they let me know there is a change of date in advance while they are shut down? I mean what should i be expecting? Any idea?

Since the Federal government shut down a few hours ago, does that mean all visa processing will be halted until the Democrats realize they can't just give amnesty to a million illegals?
 
I'd really hate for my I-129F to be delayed because of that.
