I got the EAD card !!!!
 
It is moving ..... 💕

OMG! same day!  Guess we will just have to wing it without hearing each others review!!
 
Fingers crossed . SO Crazy we are the same day!!
 
Our EAD card hasn't been approved yet, so at this rate, we will have a green card in hand before that.

Boston office is moving ..... We also have the interview schedule for 7th of January 2020.
 
OMG it is 2020!!!! almost two years after receiving a marriage proposal ... I receive these news. It has been a long journey.

We just got our interview in the mail today!
 
We are scheduled for January 7th, 2020.
 
We are Boston Field Office. 

So we had the interview, the interviewing officer shook our hands at the end and said congratulations and said that she can't see any reason to not approve our petition!!! Soo I guess pretty good!! I will do a full review shortly and post it where suitable

My stress level just keeps getting higher and higher with every day that goes by without EAD approval. 
 
171 days now. 

Just got notice today that my wife's EAD/Advance Parole has been approved and is being mailed.  Interview for her green card is at Des Moines office is on 19 DEC.

Yeah, no need to address the gap on your resume.  If recruiters can't figure it out by themselves they will ask.  Should be straightforward to explain.  By the way, that's true for other gaps as well.  Unlike back in Germany, an American resume is not supposed to be an account of everything you've done since high school.  Think of it more like a personal ad taylored to the specific job opening.  You focus on your relevant professional experience and leave out everything unrelated, such as gaps.  In my local library they have The Damn Good Resume Guide, which I found very helpful to get out of that German mindset and to understand how resumes work here. 

My husband tried when he knew he was closer to getting receiving his EAD, but it posed a problem. Since most applications are initially online (and even if you email the company, they direct you to an online application anyway), it is very hard to complete them. All of the questions about having legal authorization to work were drop-down  "yes/no" questions. There isn't a space to explain. It would not let him go past there and I imagine this question lead to an auto-rejection even if he was able to submit. As someone mentioned above, try networking for now. My husband had a job within a week of getting his EAD in hand. 

I hope ead comes faster or i am gonna eat my head😑😑😑

Hey all, had my interview today at Kendall. Was waiting an hour before they called us in, the lady was nice and we were possibly in there for less than 10 mins. she simply asked my name, DOB, address. Asked to see both our birth certs. Sad thing about the whole experience is she did not approve us on the spot, she said there were a few last checks that needed to be done. Case tracker updated to 'Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed''

Today I had my Interview appointment and we got approved!
It was a very nice lady, in a cozy office. Nothing like the movies 😂 
Right after my interview, my AOS updated. yaaay!  

Finally, my and my son's combo cards arrived last Friday and today his SSN card arrived too. We are all set except for the interview which will hardly happen until next Christmas. So be it, we are happy with what we've got so far. Good luck to all you guys with impending interviews, we will be moving to NYC thread which better suits our situation
