For marriage based AOS it doesn't matter what visa they're adjusting from. If it's less than 2 years between marriage and GC approval date, a conditional GC will be issued. If it's more than 2 years between marriage and approval, a 10 years GC will be issued and no ROC.

The status will change to: The post office picked up your card.

In this status you will see the tracking number. But there's a high chance you will receive the card before the status changes. That's what happened to me.

Sign up for USPS Informed Delivery and you will see the tracking number there first when they mail it out.

"Ready to schedule" is different from "Interview was Scheduled".

For some people it takes a couple weeks between them. For others it takes years. It all depends on how backlogged your field office is. I waited 10 months to get an interview after the ready status in NYC.

Wait for the status to change to scheduled and then do the medical.

You won't find on the USCIS website specifically saying that you can send at 180 days. But when you have a combo card, and want the combo card card to be renewed, you may send the 131 form with the 765 form at 180 days. That's what I did, that's what everyone else has been doing in the past months. Check the Aug 2019/Sept 2019/Oct 2019 posts to see everyone that sent them together and got approved in 1 or 2 months.

If he's physically abusive, you have to report him to the police and they will deal with him. He can lose the GC because of it, but that's not up to you.

Both can be done at 180 days. Your buddy could've sent both at the same time.

Current income goes on the 864, not 944. If you want to update your 864 information, bring an updated copy to your interview.

4 months after I applied for my EAD renewal, they just scheduled me for a biometrics appointment, even though I already have my green card. I hope they can use this biometrics for my I-90 too.

It says that if you have a pending AOS, no fee for 131 and 765. It doesn't matter if it's the first one, or second, third. What matters is having a pending AOS.

    1) as long as you filed for AOS within 1 year and vaccination was marked completed, you don't need a new one.

    2) he can fill out a new one in case the officer requests...

You paid for the 485, which allowed you to file for EAD and AP for free. Same thing for renewal. Pending 485 = free EAD/AP. If you don't believe what we said here, this information is on the USCIS website. What you find there will always be right.

I can see you have no idea what the forms you filed before are. Why would you file another 485?

Employment Authorization is 765, Advance Parole is 131. No fee, just send the NOA 1 from the 485.

Everything you need is on the USCIS website.

If you are talking about the I-944, everyone that filed after Feb 24 must fill out that form. Read the instructions of the form to help you fill it out.

Had the interview today. It was kinda weird but probably the easiest part of the process.

We waited about 40 minutes before being called. The officer asked for our passports, birth certificates, marriage license. I also gave him a court order saying I changed my name, but he barely looked at it.

He asked if I had a new medical. I said no because I wasn't required to do so. Then he asked for photos of us and other documents the showed both our names. Then he asked me If I have been arrested, been denied entry to the US and when was the last time I entered the US. All of that without making any comments.

Then he asked my husband about his job. We told him he got a new job after the initial application, so we gave him a new affidavit of support and a new employment verification letter. He also asked if I was working, I said yes, and gave him my employment letter.

He finished saying everything looked good and we would get the card in the mail in 2 weeks.

I reminded him one more time my name changed and asked if I would receive the card with the new name. He said: "Oh right, can I see the court order again?". I showed him again and he wrote down the new name. I also showed him my new SSC with the new name.

He said again we would get the card in 2 weeks.

The interview was probably only 5 minutes long.

Forget the letters on the right. What matters is that it says completed on the bottom left of the page.

Ayrton got a reaction from zaback21 in Need help. Questions on eligibility
There are 2 different requirements, physical presence and continuous residency, and meeting one doesn't automatically satisfy the other one. Even though the rule says you can stay out of the country for less than 6 months and still be eligible for citizenship, it also says that multiple trips will trigger the officer to look deeper into their case. At the end of the day it's always up to the IO to say yes or no...

No, I didn't. The IO asked at the interview.

Make sure to print the Instructions, and ask them to check with a supervisor.

The rule from Nov 2018 only affects medicals done inside the US, that use I-693. It doesn't mention anything for K1 medical.

My IO at my interview also asked for a medical, and I reminded him that I didn't need one. He just said okay and I was approved the next day.

It all depends on where you live, but I believe all states accept EAD. Check the DMV website and print out the page that says they accept it. It's possible that your SAVE database wasn't updated yet, and that's why they denied it.
