You should ask your fiance to send you the original i-797 in case they ask you for it. Just to be safe.
Financial documents should include
Copies of w2 from last three years
Transcripts of the tax filed with the IRS
Bank statements last 12 months until now.
A letter from the bank showing when the account was orginially opened (it's ok if you dont have it but for countries like pakistan it's better safe than sorry)
Employer letter
Last 3 to 6 months of pay stubs
Thank you so much! You're always there to help. He's sending me the original notice and W2s. The rest I already have.

Hi everyone,
I have my visa interview on the 17th of January. My fiance has just mailed me all the paper work and I noticed that I have the I-797C (NOA2) which is a copy sent by the NVC instead of the original I-797 (NOA2) that the embassy is asking for. Do they ask for the original I-797 (NOA2) or am I okay with a copy?
In the financial docs he sent me there are photocopies of W2's. Are they sufficient or should I ask him to send me the original ones as well?
Also - do I need to take copies of all docs or will they just see originals and return them (financial)?
Will appreciate your input! Thanks!

The DHL tracking will not show up for 24 hours from either Tuesday to Wednesday NVC shipping. The shipping information is updated 24 hours later on Wednesday and Thursday. Makes sense?
Yes makes absolute sense. That's why DHL updated on Thursday. And when I woke up on Friday morning I had the NVC email that it's in transit.

Nowhere in my comment to I ask how to get the case number. I was wondering how people that have populated their timelines got the SPECIFIC DATE. I don't think I could have been any more clear. Our case was received by the NVC and we have a case number and IIN. However, I do not know the DATES that any of those occurred. Are people just guessing a DATE or entering and approximate DATE? Or are they getting an actual DATE somewhere. I would like to know for purposes of adding to my own timeline. It seems like I am missing something. Thanks again!!
IF YOU WOULD OPEN YOUR EYES AND READ WHAT I WROTE, I'M ASSUMING YOU UNDERSTAND ENGLISH, WHAT I AM TELLING YOU IS THAT THE OPERATOR'S STANDARD ANSWER INCLUDES DATES! IF THE OPERATOR YOU SPOKE TO HAS NOT MENTIONED DATES THEN YOU NEED TO EXPLICITLY ASK FOR DATES.

As far as I know this is generic and K1s need to schedule interview themselves. It's the case for my embassy too. However I would suggest you reconfirm on your country portal.

Can someone please enlighten me as to how everyone is getting the case dates for the following to enter in to their profiles?
NVC Received : ____________
Date Case #, IIN, and BIN assigned : ____________
NVC Left : ____________I sent a message via the https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html link on November 14th and got an email reply on the 24th. That email simply stated that my case was received, but no date. The email response also went on to say "We will send NVC processing instructions within 8 weeks. Please resubmit your inquiry if you have not received any information after 8 weeks.".
8 weeks!!?!?!??!!!! This doesn't seem to align with timelines that I am seeing on here, where one couple (same country) I noticed already has an interview set up and their NOA2 date was only about a week before ours. Is everyone calling them to obtain these various dates for their timelines? I an not understanding how people are getting these. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
You will find all relevant info on the first page of this thread. We are calling the NVC to get the specific info. Hope this helps.

That's nice that the lawyer offered to watch for cancellations but I think you would have better luck then he. Of course that depends on your lifestyle as you may be a very busy individual which you wouldn't be able to check a few times a day. But give it a try if you are up to it.
The control freak alpha female that I am, it goes without saying I'll be checking more regularly than him lol. Thanks @Greenbaum for all the help!!!! God bless you!

There can be false positive's. The surest way to know is to go to ceac.state.gov and enter "immigrant" for the visa type and then your case number. It will say "in transit, received or ready". That combined with what you learned through the DHL tracking will give a 95% answer. Your on to something so keep searching.
CEAC changed to "in transit" after a few hours of receiving email. Thank God! It's officially happening!! Got interview slot for Jan 17 since the whole calender was booked for Jan and Feb which is strange. Dec all slots available but we want to do interview after my fiance visits me for the second time in Christmas break. Lawyer says he'll look out if earlier slots in January open up.

I've put EXP 27 NOV 2018A and chose the whole November month for shipment. There was no possibility to choose the month of December at this point.
From what Greenbaum says, I understand that the second possible date would be EXP 28 NOV 2018A, as the files were supposed to leave NVC on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Mines got dispatched on Nov 28 according to DHL.

OMG I am so happy and confused at the same time. So the CEAC tracker is saying that my case is still at NVC but I just recieved at email from NVC that my case has been sent to the embassy!!! Yesterday when I checked DHL tracker just for fun to see if any case was being sent to Islamabad there was one!! @Greenbaum thoughts? Does the CEAC website act up?

I don't know who is the beneficiary? You or him?
If you guys want to have a smooth interview and the rest of the process go easy then make sure your documents are complete.
Ask him even if it makes him uncomfortable.
Right now the dos has a loop hole to make this process long and difficult for any one. That's happening with us right now. It could be another year before my fiance is here inshallah.
Please keep us in your prayers.
Seriously ask me anything
May allah help you all.
Of course I will pray for you.
I'm the beneficiary. I will talk to him about this over the weekend in shaa Allah. Also have to get an interview appointment. Hopefully case will be dispatched today in shaa Allah.

Yup as @Amnazaidsaid select a few photos where you are photographed together and show photos of the engagement ring.. also send in a recipt too of there is one of the ring.
I'll ask him for the ring receipt but I think it'll make him awkward. It's an arranged thing so I don't wanna freak him out.

My engagement was at my place and a very simple ceremony because my all siblings are outside of the pakistan. but yea we both also wear the same color dress and we have the pictures while exchanging a engagement ring..!! Which i have submitted in a Islamabad embassy..!! And i can give you a one advice dont take a bundles of pictures to embassy..!! Just few ov them.. show them pictures with your family and with your finace family and picture of engagement ring..
1 minute ago, Sarac9 said:You wanna be careful because if you both excahnged rings then the CO might get the wrong idea. In my case, it was my fiance's sister who placed the ring on my finger and i didnt place anything on his. And we were dressed too but we did it at home as we didn't want to hold such a large function. Make sure to only send in photos in which a ring is placed on your finger and not his.
Thank you so much guys. I'll be careful and only take photo in which he is pitting the ring on my finger and a fanily photo. The rest are casual photos. He's coming again in last week of Dec. I'll try to take as many casual photos as possible.

Congratulations!!! I was hoping it would happen for you today also!
Thank you so much!! I've been a big fan of your name since we met on April 129F thread. I actually did pretend this is fun haha. Fingers crossed we make it to tomorrow's shipment.

Thank you everyone for your response!
7 hours ago, Sarac9 said:No it was fine. Because engagement practices vary culture to culture. I had a traditional Pakistani styled engagement.
What is Pakistani styled engagement? We did it in a restaurant with a little flowery stage. Both wearing traditional clothes with matching colors. Exchanged rings (both) and had the whole family there except for my Fiances sister because her baby was only a few months and she couldn't fly in from Canada.

I called the NVC around 7am PST and they said that they received it on 11/14/18 but no case number assigned yet.. I was also told that it could be up to 8 weeks before a case number could be assigned. Should I call again later today to check?
I literally just got off the phone with them and I'm a Nov 14 too, they said case number has been assigned a while ago so I called at a good time. I think you should try again! Good luck
@Greenbaum I FINALLY have case number, will I make it to HOLY shipment tomorrow or the day after? The very kind lady on the call seemed to be giving me vibes to brace for embassy stage lol

My NOA2 was 10/17. NVC only received our case on 11/14, and we found out today that a case number was issued on 11/23. No need to worry, you will hear good news soon.
I have the exact same profile as yours. No case number assigned till 11/23. I'm too scared to call now knowing that tomorrow is D-day (shipment) and I don't want to hear "no number assigned yet". Have seen a few 14s get their case numbers today. Fingers crossed. Might call around 11pm EST.

Sorry I don't know the NVC recieve date. Nov 21 is the first time NVC pick up our calling, and we were assigned a case number on that exactly same day.
That's okay. Unfortunately we still don't have a case number 😭

Keep calling every 2 days. You still have a shot to make it happen, and if not, there will be TONS of birthdays ahead!
My fiance wanted me to visit last year for NYE (it's also our anniversary), I applied for a tourist visa last november and got denied, we filed I129F on feb and got approval in Nov 2 (way out of regular times). So it won't happen this NYEs either.
But I do have all my hopes in NYEs 2019 😂😂
You're absolutely right! Hahaha yes NYE is special, I will pray for you, in fact for all Nov 14s that we catch the 27 shipment train ❤

I still have like 3-4 months ahead to get an interview at Juarez Consulate.
I'm getting used to the waiting game, there's not much we can do to make things move faster.
At Islamabad embassy interviews can be booked for within a month. I want to make it for my birthday in January

No case number yet, but they told us today that our case was received at NVC on Nov 14th.
I'm also Nov 14 and waiting since forever. It would be devastating if we don't make it to this batch.
