Not checking our projected NOA2 date anymore ours has gone back 2 days  again.

We will be some of the last to be approved here as our noa1 date was 25th April so while you all get excited that October is close spare a thought for those of us who won’t be approved til November likely at the earliest.

Will be stepping up my things I need to do list mid to end of September.

Just gald Work is keeping me busy and we’ve had 2 visits so far since we filed or the wait would be even more torture.

    Each visit makes it harder.

Oh no really? I was sure I’ve replied to you before 😰

    Yes you always do!! ❤

I'm May 1 so I guess we're going to be the last lot in November

Hey Aprilettes u have been so quite!

Don't go away we are kinda 6 weeks away until we become the active month!

    Good luck everyone!

What are you going to bring to the states? heavy luggage??

Hey!! Well I'm going to try to take as much as I can, and since he is a "light traveler" I'm sure I can utilize his luggage allowance too. Each person is allowed 2 pieces up to 23kg :D no winter shopping for me since 1) we'll probably do POE in May or June and  2) I'm sure I'll get better variety of winter clothes in NYC since Pakistan is a HOT country, our winters last 2 months only. I will have lots of fancy clothing and something special for the wedding :D

Ladies: should I get a wedding gown from NYC or arrange something from here? I'm clueless.

    Good luck everyone! ❤️

Thanks!  Nice to hear from you as well.  We are doing well, just waiting and waiting.  We are making plans to visit in December and March regardless of what happens.  There is enough stress in waiting for this without adding that being the next time we see each other. Of course I'm hopeful that by March or April things will be complete, but who knows.  There's just too much unknown in this.  I've been a silent stalker of these pages, but for the most part I stay away and stay busy because it seemed so far away.  But now I enjoy seeing when a new month get's processed and seeing they are one month closer to our group.  Once we start seeing March getting busy, it will be very exciting.  Of course, my NOA date actually wound up being the first of May, so I'll likely see everyone here approved before we are.  But I really truly enjoy seeing and reading about people being approved.  This site is so good to keep your spirits up if you focus on the positive.  Take care and good luck!

Hey! My NOA date is May 1 too! But I like being part of the Aprilette family and feeling better that April filers will get notices before May ones hehehe. My fiance is planning to visit in December in Christmas holidays so that is something to look forward to! We're thinking of a mid April POE since I have read things in other threads that if your NOA2 expires before POE then they can deny entry on POE and I don't want that happening. Also the 6 month validity of visa begins from date of medical not the date on which the visa is stamped.

I hope they pick up speed to our expected noa2 date is first week of November! Already so over this wait and hitting the mid noa1-noa2 slump that for us to hit Christmas break territory would be yuck!!

Because of Work leave allowances I can usually only spend a week at a time with my fiancé but planning a two week visit over Christmas/new year  (my leave calendar runs January to December) to keep us sane!!

OMG I just over heard my fiance talk to my mom and he was telling her he's coming in December to surprise me haha!!! My birthday is in January so he wants to do something for my birthday in Christmas break! I'm so happy I wanted to share the happiness with my VJ family. God bless us all!!! ❤🎉

  5. I hope they pick up their speed. Guys when are we expected to get our passports back from the embassy? March end? Or at least Consulate recieved date? January? I have noticed people who get NOA2 in mid November onwards have NVC recieved date of mid January...that's a really long Christmas break tbh.

My fiance and I want to take a little relaxing trip before my POE. We want to make travel arrangements and hotel bookings in advance. It's getting really confusing and frustrating.

Hey thanks for Reply. Its my dumbness that I added the wrong case number. I had two numbers switched. However, the kool thing is that

the wrong case I entered had same timeline filed/accepted 26th April. I entered last 3 numbers as 015 instead of 115 which leads me assume that the CSC handles more than 100 apps a day I130 and I129F combined hehe.. FYI I can't get rid of wrong case I added in my account..

Heehehe thats okay as long as you have the right petition filed :D good luck!!

    Hello everyone,

I am kind of concerned that the new website shows my petition as I130 Petition from Alien relative rather than I129F for Fiance. The Old site however shows I129F. Should I be worried and give them a call to fix the bug? Did anyone of you checked it on new website ? Any info is much appreciated..

Hey! I just checked mine on the new website, says I-129F Alien Fiance

    You and me both!!!

Hi guys! Have you noticed how the estimated time keeps increasing every week because CSC is stuck on Nov 17, 2017. This is so so depressing. I think by the time we get the visa it's going to be late Feb or March. I'm so disappointed that I'm thinking of joining grad school this Fall to keep busy. I wanted to celebrate my birthday in January with him. :(

Hey everyone!  Hope all is well.  I thought I'd check in and see how everyone is doing, I have tried to stay away because we are so far away I don't want to punish myself at this point.  I do enjoy seeing them move from October approvals to November approvals, that is one month closer to us.  I got tickets to visit my fiance in July, excited for that.  She just had to have an unexpected surgery.  That was tough but all is well now.  Times like that make it even more tough to be in a LDR, but she has an amazing family and they kept me updated.

I was wondering what everyone was planning as far as their weddings?  I saw @Whanlin  had asked but I guess most have overlooked.  @Kyle&Ana  I see you are planning a courthouse ceremony and then wedding back in your country.  How long after do you plan?  Don't you have to wait for AOS before you can leave the country? I think that is more like what we will do, because it just makes more sense from a family situation and the ceremony is more important to her.  But it's too expensive to have flights for everyone.  I'd love to see what creative ideas people have come up with because I'm sure that everyone faces the same issues.  I don't have a large group of friends or family, but she does.  We considered doing the K3 and getting married there, but neither of us can stand the thoughts of getting married then splitting up, and this seems like the quicker option also.

What is everyone else planning for their wedding?

Hi everyone! @pretendthisisfun I've been doing the same thing, trying to stay away for a while. Also I had a small surgery week back so I've been trying to rest. The wedding plan for me looks like a courthouse ceremony in a month of my arrival with a few family and friends we have there (mines and his). Later when we get permission to fly, we'll have the bigger ceremony back in my country. And to kill time I've been thinking of places to go for a honeymoon, I'm thinking Hawaii hahaha :D

So interesting to hear your stories and learn more about each of you.  I meant to say what is one thing about your partner...not what is the one thing.  Still haven't learned to edit these.  I'm sure we will keep learning about each other and truly be like family in a few months.

@AmandaandChayne  You sound so lucky to have found one another!  You are so fortunate to have the finances and employment situation that allows for so many visits.  I'm envious of those like you who can make such frequent visits.  It's easy for us to think of how easy those in the same zip code or area code have it when they complain about not having enough time to spend with their partner.  I truly feel for those who for various reasons are only able to visit their partner once a year or less, even.  It doesn't make it easier, but it makes you feel a bit grateful.  Good luck and congratulations.  As for the time difference, we have six hours difference also.  Because of our work situation, we have video calls at 2pm my time each day.  I am fortunate enough to be able to skip out of work for a couple of hours right before her sleep.  We started out at 4pm, then 3pm, and she was just always so tired from lack of sleep, like you.  We text throughout the day.  I send a voice note every night right before bed that she can wake up to, and she sends me the same when she can.  It works for us.  I think that's what everyone has to find.

@Anna&eiad  Speaking of feeling for those who can't make frequent visits, I feel for you.  About the calls and texts situation...have you heard about VPN?  Virtual Private Networks allow people in places like UAE and other countries with less free internet to bypass those blocks.  You and your fiance should really look into them.  I use NordVPN but there are several.  He can even use the app on a cellphone and it is very, very simple.  https://www.bestvpn.com/best-vpns-for-uae/  I can't imagine life without WhatsApp and being able to have free video chat everyday.  Because data is so expensive in South Africa, we tried to find the lowest data video chat provider and had a lot of luck with Zangi.  But she finally let me buy her some data, so we are back to WhatsApp now.

@Larenn&Loda  Thank you so much for the comment on my username.  It was my username on OkCupid when we met.  I was pretending online dating was fun.  Now I'm pretending this process is fun.  I'm glad you are going to join me in the pretend world where this is fun and exciting.  Sorry to hear that you were denied.  I'm worried about my fiance's planned visit here, she is still waiting on her passport.  I read here that you could send in I-129F without a beneficiary passport, so that is what we did.  I figured a one month wait if they do an RFE is better than a two or three month delay in waiting for passport to come back before we submitted.  I feel for you on not being able to visit more often.  I hope you will be approved for a tourist visa.  I was oblivious to how difficult it is for others to travel to the US compared to how easily we can travel.  It seems so unfair that I can go to South Africa anytime without a visa or having to do anything but show up, and for her, she has to go through an interview and get a visa and whole big process.  Doesn't make sense.

@Maham10  Video calls are the best.  What would we do without them?  I am right with you on waking up in October with a NOA2 approval.  But then we will have to wait some more for the NVC, but depending on the consulate that process seems to move much more quickly.

@VegasJohn  I do believe you win the award for Aprilite who has the most enviable visitation situation.  At least from what I have seen.  I'd love to be able to see my fiance every month.  I feel lucky for every three months.  I'll be taking all the information I can provide on my next visit.  I'm holding off a bit for suggesting when she get her documentation because of the timelines required.

I think I replied to everyone who answered.  It's interesting to see so many of you from so many different places and walks of life.  We are all so different in so many ways, but we have one big thing in common and it unites us all for the next several months.  Good luck to you all and also congratulations for taking this step.

I think I can wait out the NVC haha, the Islamabad embassy isn't that slow I believe, I do know for a fact that they process the spouse and fiance visa on priority basis, so keeping fingers crossed :D

I travel with an ESTA and I’ve visited 4 times so far and 3/4 times I’ve had the dreaded SSSS on my boarding pass meaning secondary searches and masses of questions especially when changing at Chicago they were horrid and changing there again in August 😱 hoping my letter from Work and copy of my work diary and NOA1 will be enough for them to let me in when I visit in June and August.

We use line app for video calls every day many times a day.

how do you all manage the time difference 6 hours difference for us means I’m permanently tired!! We wake at daily times just to talk to each other!!

Oh my good luck to you!! ❤ we have a whooping 9 hours difference, so by the time I get up for work he has gone to sleep, and when he wakes up I'm getting ready to go home from work, but we manage to have an ongoing conversation and send lots of photos to each other. Video calls mostly on weekends. 😁

Wow....just love your caption “pretendthisisfun” honestly am really gonna pretend this journey is fun even though it not following the long wait and the crazy distance between our loved ones. My fiancé is a very busy man, as he can’t travel often, I have the time to travel but not sure if will giving a tourist visa to the US since I have been refused denied before. So the wait is really long before we meet again. We are looking forward to before I have my interview though as he will make out time to come again.                Am so happy for y’all that can travel back and forth just to be with you love

Same with me, fiancé is super busy and I don't want to risk applying for a visitor visa and getting denied due to this K1 process. Just hoping he gives me a surprise visit haha 😁 till then WhatsApp and video calls it is. Glad my own work keeps me busy too. But honestly at times I just wanna go to sleep and wake up to a NOA2 🤣🤣🤣

  13. Hi guys,

So basically my family and I were on a B2 visa in 2001, we applied for an extension and were granted for another 6 months, so I was legal for a year (June 2001 - June 2002), meanwhile my father had applied for the H1-B visa which was denied in July 2003 and were given a few days to exit, which we did, we weren't deported or anything. Now at the time of 'overstay' I was 8 years old. Now my fiance and I are about to file our K-1 application. Also - no where in the i-129f form does it ask about my overstays. Now my question is that will my overstay as a minor 15 years ago affect my application? Also keeping in mind the fact that we were waiting to hear for our H1-B petition.

    Thanks a million!
