Well here we are. Another day. Another week. As @Naes has mentioned.  We are not alone and USCIS is working even if it feels like they are not at times. Let us all embrace our loved ones and settle back for a big week. Every second that goes by brings us one second closer to our goal. Hang in there everyone. This will be over soon. 

I guess I'm one of the very few that finds the prospect of sitting on a jury exciting?
I always wanted to serve on one---guess it's from watching too many court-dramas.

Even if you are called in, it doesn't necessarily mean you'd be chosen. Nobody's come looking for me so far.

So I just talked to USCIS.  They said that I shouldn't make another inquiry for 60 days...I think they are getting tired of me.  So I just made another Ombudsman inquiry and I am about to contact my Congressman...again.  I know it is early after the RFE response but I feel like I need to do everything I can to keep my sanity.

OK so I thought about calling the USCIS to see whats up because the App says 206 days since they received my application.
I asked for a Tier 2, and after waiting 110 minutes I get my call back. The very sweet lady over the phone asks me my basic info to verify its me and she says hmm you were approved March 6th. Your letter went out on March 7th. I almost busted into happy tears. She then gave me a general timeline for the  next steps and then gave me the State Departments info so I can call at the end of the month to pay the fee and wait for them to send it to the Dominican Republics consulate.
She says it'll be a little under 2 more months to go and my fiance will be here by Mothers day!!!! 

I got one of these too this morning in my email!  I can't wait to get home to rip this open!!!   Nothing in the app or web site.

So Tony is in town and we got our visa on Tuesday, March 6th. Then yesterday we went shopping for his wedding suit and shoes. The tired monster got the groom, I guess. 

No I am a September 15 filer and when we called them they said it was assigned to an officer. So it should be some movements soon.
 
But I never believe in uscis.

There is definitely more to the story here. This is the poster whose K-1 was denied in Manila (in itself a rarity) despite 5 visits (almost a record for that particular embassy). 
 
I mentioned it before but it obviously was ignored - your ex-wife/girlfriend and her emails to the embassy did not cause the denial. How many times do you think immigration officials receive such emails or calls from jealous and spiteful spurned lovers who want to jeopardize someone's happiness? Take a look here at the "effects of major family changes" forum and see how many people are wanting to "call immigration" about someone who cheated on them/broke their heart/turned out to be not the amazing lover they claimed to be. Not one of them succeeded. 
 
It it doesn't work like that. COs don't sit there looking for gossip or allegations from random individuals to deny people. It takes a lot more than that. 
 
You need to work on the real reason, not the one you've fabricated, for the denial before applying again or the result will be the same. 

An update with some inside information. Most of you that said an Ex trying to impede the K1 with aligations is not enough. You are correct, US Embassy gets this type of stuff all the time. The difference is or the reason for extra scrutiny and denial is, my fiancé is from Mindinao and from an area that is under watch. This is, per my insider the bigger picture that the US Embassy is looking at. 
As a former combat vet. I completely agree with any effort to screen out people from questionable regions. 

We just received our RFE but it's much better than waiting.August 31st here
