Advance Parole does not require biometrics.  Even if it did, they would use the i765/i485 capture.   
 
They would NEVER have issued the card if any requirements were missing 

I'm in Philadelphia and received an appointment letter as well for the i131. I called USCIS last Friday and am supposed to have someone contact me soon. Really hoping I don't have to attend since I have my combo card and it's far away lol. What's your plan?

We are also in this situation and confused about it. I called USCIS and they said my husband didn’t need to attend. But I’ve seen posts on VJ saying the fingerprint is necessary for re-entry into the US If they travel with the card and my husband wants to travel home soon, so he’s going to go To the second appointment just to be safe. It’s one of those things where I’d rather be safe than sorry. It’s a hassle but anything that will possibly prevent him being detained on re-entry seems worth it to me. It’s just an hour or so of our time to do it again. 

So my husband already has his combo card.  Today we received a new biometrics appointment for the i131.  That seems odd.  Do we need to attend this again? Thanks 
 

They can work on them but they wont approve anything unless they have your biometrics, whether current fingerprints and photo or a previous fingerprints and photo taken by USCIS (key word: USCIS). 
So that is what was meant by paused or on hold or not moving forward.

Of course no biometrics as the ASCs are closed.  Yes, they are actively working cases to the best of there ability

Well whoever comes back here to check out the thread Sarge here giving my last update and bringing up the rear. My fiancee has just received her visa so visa is on hand. I'm just waking up here so bear with me my eyes are still glued shut partially lol, but anyway ticket is booked for Thursday August 29, 2019 we made it just in the nick of time since her visa expires September 27th.
 
I think I'm the last original member of the thread to be approved and get visa. I'm not going to say this has been a great journey, but just say it's been real and I have learned alot, not just about the K1, but about immigration in general. For all those anywhere any thread having difficulties don't lose sight of the prize, don't jump ship. With this final post here in May 2018 K1 Filers, I have lived up to my statement I made to you all back in May 2018 that I was going to turn off the lights....so here I am turning off the lights now. it's been real looking forward to the next steps.

I don't think it will be a big deal.. you can explain if they ask you about it. I sent in ton of evidence and they didn't even look at it.. or our pictures. In our interview He just looked at my passport stamps since Ive been to DR 7 times and that was it. visa approved! Don't stress!! 

Yes, submitted all the docs with each application and answered the questions accordingly.

The NOA2 wait is over!  Finally got approved yesterday 2/20/19...My gosh the wait...no RFE just the text and email.  Still waiting for @Sarge2155.  

I just had my interview on feb 6th  at santo domingo. He received his passport today, You should list all children and then at the interview you just say that they  aren't following at the moment. I had my last  3 years of tax transcripts, a work letter, and w2s. They didn't even look at my binder I had with all additional evidence, new letters of intent.. and all other stuff that I thought would be important to our case. Good Luck

I know you're frustrated however you cannot just give up and adopt a defeatist frustrated mentality. Coming from West Africa myself, I know most immigrants from that part of the world have friends and family or someone they know in the USA who is legal. Tell your fiancee to help with that. On my first visit to the USA a couple decades for vacation I lived with the brother of a friend of a friend. I know signing an affidavit of support is more serious than just hosting someone on vacation however in the west African immigrant community friends of friends do sign affidavits of support.
 
That's how we roll, your fiance needs to step up and be counted. You need to see this through, the finish is in sight.

^^^THIS^^ In your situation, I would probably just purchase a one way there.......wait until I had visa in hand...and purchase a one way back to the US......

It is my understanding that the beneficiary is the one to complete and print the DS 160. I've also read that petitioners have completed and saved and then beneficiary has logged on their end and clicked submit and printed their receipt. This is done because the DS 160 HAS to be submitted by beneficiary...and dare I say while logged from their country of origin.

I just want to use this medium to encourage everyone still waiting on their approval. There is a reason why things happen and at the moment it seems very aggravating and annoying but know that delay is not denial. Who knows the reason for this delay may speed up the other processes or in fact align things perfectly for when your significant other arrives.  I am still waiting on mine and I have decided to let go of the anxiety and live in the moment. There would be down days leading up to the approval but I have a plan to get me out of any funk on those days. I have also planned the perfect meal I will have the day the approval comes (for those in Houston- Hop Doddy Burger, Shake Shack Fries and an Oreo Milkshake) plus the best sleep I'll have since November. 
 
So remember, Live and Let Go. This time next year this will be a thing of the past and most of us will have forgotten these days. I sure will!
