Im applying for my stepson. Im a US cit. got USCIS Nebraska. Got message on June 30,2022 that it is being “actively reviewed “. Idk how long that takes. 

No, it just means don't upload a lot of files in one go, probably to limit the load on the system. If you need to upload more than 5 documents, split them into multiple uploads.

Evidence he is your stepson:
 
* the marriage certificate of his father and you.  
* Marriage certificate and divorce decree of your husband and your stepson’s mother.  
 
Evidence you are a USA citizen: USA birth certificate is queen.  If not born in the USA, then the evidence you used to get your first USA passport.  

No need to disclose it on the I-130 form.  The relevant question will be in the DS-260 form when your child's case gets to the NVC stage after petition approval.  Provide the details of the B visa denial on that form.
 

Depends on the visa processing backlog at the consulate.  Some consulates have a bigger backlog than others.
 

From filing petition to visa interview: 1-2 years
 
During his visa interview, a statement from his bio mother is required stating she is allowing him to immigrate to the US.
 
 

Just wanted to update the info here... went to the CA DMV office today and my husband was able to get his permit. He will be able to get his license after passing his behind the wheel test but just fyi, they accepted his I-797C (gave them all of those related to the AOS process) and they said because it is "in process" and not "denied" they will be able to use the documents to issue him a DL valid for one year. When he gets his EAD we can go back and update the length of validity of his license. 
 
Long story short, if you are waiting on EAD, you DO NOT have to wait to get a DL in California. Bring your Notice of Actions (along with all other required documents) and they should accept those for the time being  

He can travel domestically with his passport from his country of origin as proof of identification.  No need for anything else.  And California DMVs are difficult so make sure you have all the documentation listed on their website and have plenty of patience for the long wait once you get there, even with an appointment it can take hours.  Good luck!

TSA is federal but their job is security and safety of air travel, not immigration checks. CBP takes of immigration when people enter the US from international travel. They're the only ones who ask about your status upon entry. I traveled domestically last year only 3 months after filing. No EAD and nobody asked me about my status. So yes you're worrying for no reason. Carry his NOA's though if you wanna be safe.

EAD is usually what they want to see. CA does have AB60.

That's not uncommon for a newlywed couple. Send what you do have, then gather more evidence while the case is pending and provide that for the interview later.

I'd be more specific in stating what training he had and what role he played. Keep in mind that soldiers are not looked upon in a bad light if presented well.

You have to mark yes and then elaborate in the Additional info section....even if it sounds bad.

This sounds like it should work - expect to have to pay for it, though.  Worst case scenario, they won't accept his record and he'll have to be re-vaccinated or take a titer test to prove immunities.

Just a quick note, we had our interview this morning and we were approved.  We just need to wait for VOH then we will make the final trip together.
