But STDs can be diagnosed  through blood/urine test, still can't be convinced that they need to see that part.

Correct it is for the petitioner.  He needs to answer it honestly.  So he has you doing his work?

Hi guys, I submitted my aos on Oct 4th, got my EAD & AP combo card on 3/7/19, my interview date was 3/1/19, however co told me he couldn't find my medical record, but was happy he had my vaccination record. Finally my aos was approved on 3/20/19 and received my green card yesterday. Such a relief~~~~~At least I don't have to worry for 2 years~~ Plus I am almost 6 months pregnant. Life is so beautiful~~hahaha

Choose between your child being near you both and starting school at a different time or starting school in Aug/Sept and being away from parent.  Complaining will not make a difference.

You admit that you had not planned to move to the US; many CR-1 people have likely had plans to move to US long before you changed your mind. You being angry will not get you anywhere, and  an "attitude" may hurt. He should be denied entry to visit as he is a likely overstay being too impatient to wait his turn.

You will not get any sympathy here from the many people who have waited and will wait far longer than your husband has or will. An attitude adjustment on your part will benefit your child as well as yourself.

Hi all!  I had my AOS Interview at Tampa FL USCIS Office today.  Here is my review...

Met with a lovely immigration officer (Riki) who went through the I-485 and verified all the information that I had provided in the form.

Asked for my name and former names, my DOB, husbands name and his DOB, my parents names, current address, how long we have lived there for, date we were married and then we went through each of the immigration/criminal/terrorism questions which you have to answer verbally yes/no to. We were then invited to provide any supporting documentation to verify our relationship. We provided gym membership, health insurance, joint credit cards, car insurance, joint bank statements, birthday cards, 5 x photos from the wedding, copies of our wedding vows and facebook msgs and emails. She then invited us to tell her about us and our story which we didn't mind retelling as we love to tell our little 'fairytale'

She then informed us that she had everything she needed for her review and that once they did a 'refresh' on my background check, everything to her looked good to be approved. Told us they have 90 days to approve it but that she normally takes less than 30 days to go through her cases and issue decision. She then said that I will receive a letter advising us of their decision and then a week later will receive the card.

By the time we arrived home (approximately 2 hours after the appointment ended), I received a text notification that my case status had been updated for all three cases (AOS, EAD & AP). So I signed in to my USCIS account online and it advised 'New Card is Being Produced' for my AOS which means I have been APPROVED and it is on it's way! NOTE - Because my greencard was issued before my employment authorization/advance parole requests had been granted, they have now been cancelled by the immigration officer (she advised us that she would cancel them once she approved and issued my green card).

So all in all, a easy experience (even though I was nervous... something about an 'interview' that always makes me a little uneasy haha), questions were straight forward and after only a short wait, I now have my green card on it's way! Happy Days

Also just a quick mention regarding the I-693 medical. I had my overseas vaccination in Feb 2018 with all my vaccinations completed (except for the flu vaccine as it was not flu season in Australia). I provided a copy of my vaccination record (DS3025) with my I-485 submission and this was sufficient. I did NOT go to a civil doctor and re do any medical or vaccination part of the form for my interview as it was still within the 12 months of my overseas medical. The topic of the medical was not even brought up in the interview. Just wanted to add this in for others as this was something that I wasn't sure of and took a chance in not completing the additional medical just in case I didn't need it - which turns out I didn't!

If you have any further questions, let me know and good luck to the rest of you!!

So to keep some people updated, yesterday I filled my second petition, a brand new one, with this time a check correctly filed (by my wife this time 😅)

I hope this time things will run smoothly , and I hope no rejection, no RFE!

I'm no longer a September filer, probably a late October or a November one but things are back on the tracks and good luck y'all!

You mentioned that you have some very good friends here in the US.  I would suggest that you turn to them for help, and get out of the bad situation you are in and get to a safe place, away from the emotional abuse and control.  You have received some very good advice on this thread, so you have lots of ideas to think about and you can decide on the best course of action for you--whether you stay or go home, you need to think this through and do something.  The status quo is not acceptable--no one should have to be subjected to the abuse you have endured.  We here on VJ are with you every step of the way.  You are in a difficult situation and you always have support and moral support here.  I am so sorry for your situation and will pray for you.  Please get to a safe place and get away from this very bad person--he does not deserve you.  Good luck!

Hope it's ok to tell a short story. Funny thing reminded me of horrible times with uscis the other day. My husband asked me to buy him a new toothbrush the other day. So i am in the store and i am looking at tooth brushes and i don't remember what color my toothbrush is hahaha. (because i didn't want them to be the same color). Mine! And they expect you to remember things like other person's toothbrush color. Just trying to say that I think there is no crime in getting those questions wrong, they will be ok. Eventually...
