Hey just a heads up that I have read a lot of misinformation about the mandamus on visajourney. Here is the bottomline: for the purpose of admin processing, very few mandamus lawsuits have been filed. Few attorneys have experience with it, and the sample size is too small to draw a conclusion one way or the other.

    What is obvious is:

    - You need to have waited at least 6 months in AP to do it (some lawyers say 1 year)
    - The worst case that can happen (assuming there is nothing wrong with your case: fake marriage, criminal background, etc.) is that your case continues to remain in AP.

A common misconception which no attorney I have spoken to agrees with is that "if your background check is incomplete they will reject you". I yet have to find an attorney that agrees with this, and yet have to read a single piece of evidence or case that this actually happened. Best of luck.

I doubt there is a reason at all. Cases with huge red flags made it thru, while perfect scenarios have been stuck.
Perhaps, a certain large number must be put on hold indefinitely, while the lucky few go thru. No reason at all.
One thing is certain; Moroccans and Pakistanis champion the Backdoor Ban.

An attorney is not able to do anything in my situation. I just wish Immediate Family Visas had priority over others.
A tourist can visit another country. An engineer can work in Canada or Australia. A student can go to England. A lottery winner can wait. They have no one they must join here. A husband, wife or child of a USC need to be with their loved ones. One can be sick and need assistance. A child needs a parent. The USC can not support two households. And the list goes on….. The system must be fixed.

Both Senator and Congressman are involved. No lawyer as I can do what they do and for free lol
Honestly, my wife and I were prepared to wait it out, but an emergency has risen  We must be together asap.

Respectfully, I disagree…I am writing as if this will happen tomorrow lol
but, More officers/Employees/Clerks/Hands/Eyes will certainly speed things up
as long as they are in every step of the way
from Application receipt to Visa delivery and from USCIS
to Consulate and Vetting. Speeding up the process in one area will speed it all up.

I think with the added added number of applications,  seems like they could afford to hire more with our fees

    example 2013    990,553
    and now over 6,000,000

    https://www.us-immigration.com/how-many-immigration-applications-filed-each-year/

lets round to 6,000,000 and say the difference is 5,009,447
and all applications were the minimum tourist visa amount of $160
    that is an additional $801,511,520
and we all know K1 ,  CR1  AOS  and citizenship costs a lot more which makes the amount so much higher
so,  where is the money going?
    not for workers

  8. Thanks

I think we give them enough money nor do I believe in a system where people essentially pay more to have it looked at faster. We're all in the same boat and no amount of money or people will make security checks go any faster. It's the entire system that needs fixing, not the amount of money we throw at them.

That is great news! Thank you as this gives me and others hope that we direly need these days.
Based on Casablanca's Consulate requirements, he will need the following:

    1- New Medical.
    2- Recent Taxes (2018).
3- New Police and Court Clearances.
I highly recommend, you receive written requirements from the respective Consulate. Otherwise, he might face more delays. Actually, huge delays if he must submit something via mail and or CEAC. Please avoid any delays at all, the system is slower than ever already. There are some waiting for over a year after submitting missing documents and without the Ds-form.

Best of Luck to you and to us all!

Well hopefully things pick up soon and thanks for responding to my replies and not leaving me hanging, some people do that and it's infuriatingly rude lol.

I really wish that things go smoothly for you , I remember your case and what happened, I am still shocked at the fact that you got this form, really hoping for a smooth and fast response for you, inchalah.

One reason is no longer there. In Morocco, all natives of certain regions received the Hellish form.
I assure you that there is no legitimate reason and that is the reason behind the lack of transparency.
Reasons could be the color of ones hair, their nose, smell, color etc…. But, trust me nothing to do with security.
A 73 year old grandmother and a 15 year old girl got the Ds-form, while 20 something males who traveled to Turkey
and beyond, much younger than their Fiancees, got thru without the Extreme Vetting. Make sense??? Only hope right now is
a Democrat wins in 2020. Even that win could be far from happening, He will win again, and perhaps change the Constitution to win even a third term and pass presidency to his kids etc…. Scary times here. The man did not lie when he said he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and still win. He s gotten away with things beyond imagination.
Just hope and pray that one of the 20 Democrats wins and makes things right.

    Stop the guessing game and take it as it is;
He must fulfill his campaign promises from building the wall to a complete shutdown on all Muslims entering the country.
He tweeted he must abandon the "watered down" ban and find a way to abandon Ban 3.0 returning to the original which would have
included all Muslim countries. The Genius in his or in his came up with a "Backdoor" Ban; Extreme Vetting Ds-5535. Yes, you will see
some get Visas after Ap, but very scarce and very far in between. Why? his proof it is not discriminatory when in fact, it is just that....
One thing we can all hope is that our spouses are amongst the few lucky ones nshlah
Ps. I hope I do not get attacked by his Digital Army of whom many live here on VJ...

Agreed and rightfully so too; We are only a single digit percentage of it all. Asylum, Refugees, Border, DV and the rest have priority over us. Reality should be that Spouses and Children of USC s must be prioritized, but it is not the case at all and it does not seem like things will change, at least not until 2020 and only if a "Fair" leader takes control and treat us fairly. Common sense suggests Spouses and Children must have faster routes, keep the Extreme Vetting, but just do it within one year. Just tell us something here. Something to work with as in planning a life, maybe?

Out of the 245 pages, how many received Visas after Ap?
What can be the cause of waits reaching 2 years now?
    Any solution ideas besides prayers?
I have only been waiting for four months, but it is crushing to know
that even after 2 years people are still waiting. Waiting for what? Honestly.
Will the 2 years turn to 3 and 4? My wife and I are stuck, exhausted and hopeless

You, Boiler and Missileman could be very right; This No Ban Act Legislation can be just a political move in preparation for 2020 Elections. It is just sad to play with people s emotions and future. As you can imagine, I am emotionally involved in this ordeal and do look for any gram of hope to bring my wife home. Unfortunately, we are just collateral damage here, and as you know she is the last person to raise a red flag. On a positive note, we have had many updates recently and we do hope and pray she receives her Visa soon nshlah. Just pray and keep us in your thoughts she comes back with me in August. In a way, we consider ourselves lucky for I have summers off to be together for months, unlike many.
