    The mistake was your fault.
Not the mistake in your passport, the mistake was knowingly lying on a visa application.
The problems in your country with passports don't matter, you should still never lie.

This might stop you ever being able to go to the US again

I would say that, I consider him only as my bf after our official meeting in Canada and I hope this question will not be asked too in the future...

Thank you for your comments.. I am still planning to visit UK&Canada on 2018 and after that I may re-apply again most probably by 2019 so at least there is over a year gap...

The connection is that CO was very good and doing their job. Somehow they felt that you hid something behind and you were denied. If you were granted a visa, you'd easily marry him in the USA without hassle and without any needs to go to Canada for that. What you did is called mispresentation and is very serious. You had someone is the US and didn't mention about it. It doesn't matter if you met in person or you didn't, it doesn't matter. What does is that you might easily misuse your visa.

You may think whatever you like but the CO's main job is to prevent any immigration fraud and in this case it worked just perfectly.

But you don’t need the test unless you are moving to the us, it’s useless to you outside of the us so why can’t it wait till you move permanently?

Its your own fault you already went ahead and booked a test without having the visa needed to go and take it.

the fraud is using non-immigrant visa with intent to immigrate by adjusting status.  so, it is fraud.  since she not IR of a usc, the fraud is not forgiven.  her preconceived immigrant intent would matter.

p.s.  a son or daughter can adjust through a parent.  lots of people do it when visa numbers available to them.

problem is immigration fraud.  illegal to use visitor visa to enter us with intent to aos.  immigrant intent will not be forgiven since she not IR of USC.  it will end badly.

also, how she gonna pay for the birth?  if she uses public money, she become public charge and will affect her immigration.

bad. bad. bad.  extremely bad idea.

    ok, u r a us ciitzen.

a ca id does not make you a resident.  living here makes u a resident.

u r not a us resident.  u need to look at residency requirement, us domicile, and filing us tax returns

    1.  u can file abroad
    2.  a joint sponsor is not enough.  u need us residency and domicile.  u need to file us tax returns for last 3 years.
    3.  read the guides.  step by step in there.
