    How did you get them to assign you a case number? Mine was received today as eell but both times i called they said to wait 2 weeks 😭

    There is no pre-determined time of getting approved after sending back a RFE. There isn't really a tracked timeline of RFE > NVC.

    Imy RFE was received on 2/7 and I was approved 2/12.... rtaher fast! Howver, the approval did not get updated on the website!

    Did you ended up writing to your congress person? And do you know anything about the asignation of cases and dates?  I thought cases were assigned later in the process... now I am just confused.

    I see cases are being approved now even in July... so I am just confused on if an officer is actually working on the case or not... she said, “your case is still in processing and an officer is still working on it” and I asked, so it has been assigned to someone already, she said “yes, it’s assigned” then I asked, when was it assigned?” She responds “june 29th 2017” so then i ask her, “so cases are assigned as they are received?” She says “yes, the only thing you can do at this time is wait”

    I called today and a Tier 2 officer called me back.  Anyway... the only new info I learned is that our cases are assigned as they are received. The officer said that cases get assigned to the officers as they are received. To me that would explain why cases are not worked exactly in order, or why some cases may be taking way longer, maybe officer is sick or something happened or things of that nature... I am June 29th and have not had any other news.

It didn’t go well for me to say the least but they were very helpful and shed some light into my case (this is the good part) they do share information above the level of a tier 1, (thank god for that 🙄 I think 🤔) although the information shared has brought a huge wedge to my relationship with my fiancé right now and I’m not sure if I can pull myself out of this one.

    I sincerely thought about contacting a few of you via private message because I’m really heartbroken and feel like I can’t find a way out if this. I am in need of prayer or just good energy sent my way because I don’t know what to do right now.
