I was smiling all the time. I was holding my mom’s holy rosary. I went inside the embassy full of hope and love. I went there and imagine all the things happened to me and my fiancé while we’re still on a process. Yes, nervousness is real but as long as its 100% genuine you’ll never go wrong!

    I am happy!

To God be the Glory! 😊

So happy. I wanted to come outside and congratulate you when you came out but I was really jet lagged and didn't wake up.  We interview tomorrow morning.

Finally got the e-mail on the NOA2 today. Good day today, all of her ornaments from Bronners arrived and I was nervous since she had me put down 2017 as the year we got married on several of the ornaments.

    Awesome!!

For those who don't know about Bronner's, it's the premier Christmas store, located in Frankenmuth Mich.  A destination that everyone needs on their bucket list.

Ooops, gotta go, paging flight "Ny Wa Twee (913) Hong Kong to Manila"

  4. Traveling days...... #FlyingSucks, 3 landings in 3 airports to destination and

26 hrs to go till I get to see Ann again. She's what makes it all worthwhile. :D Goodluck @pajobra for medical, and hope your Montreal stay is a memorable time with your Mom that you both will cherish for years to come. There's so many of us in all stages of the journey.... I wish you all good outcomes for the NOA2, NVC, medicals, and interviews.  As internet is available, I'll check in to look for great news from y'all :)

@AnJ Co did you find out about the medical/vaccination form ? where do we get that from? from my medical in Romania I am left only with the CD with the x ray and a paper where it says about the vaccinations but I don't think that s the one I am gonna use for AOS...

@gob332 I ve applied this last Friday for the SSN , following your info abt the documents needed and now waiting for it ;)

    Hi,

Medical should have given you a Form 3025 vaccination record.  This is the form to use for AOS.

If you didn't get it when you left the medical exam, be sure to go back and get it before you leave the country, or it will be rather expensive to get all vaccinations in the US.

heh as i said i didn't send in any of that but i did send a G-325A because that change was made around the same time i filed and when i requested the forms from USCIS they sent it so i filled it out. I don't see where the problem is, i got a RFE and they've requested everything you mentioned so it isn't a concern that i didn't send it becuase they asked for it, i have it so i'll send it, my concern is this long form birth certificate.

make it simple on yourself, if you have ANY kinda birth certificate from Ohio, and it has a seal, like embossed or a stamp showing it is a true and correct copy - make a copy of it and send it in.  You can also show that you are a USC by copying every single page - every one - of your passport.  Make a copy of the cover, too just to be thorough.

If you really wanna nail it home, send them copies of your passport and your BC.

As far as Long form or short form birth certificate, I do not believe Ohio has that choice.  In Ohio, it is just one form (unless things changed since I was there)  I hear Canadians talking about Long and Short forms - but never have I heard it mentioned in OH.

    By the way.......        O!         H!

So our case managed to get out of the NVC on Friday and today ceac status shows "Ready". :jest:

Awaiting for a call/email from the embassy to proceed with ds160 registration and interview booking. :dancing: Medical done two weeks ago. A bit confused cause when I gave case number at the medical it was without two digits and KEV letters in the end that appeared today after case was received by the embassy. Hope it won't be an issue.

Thank you everyone for your support. You are an awesome people and I wish all the best with your loved ones!

I really wonder what goes on with NVC.  The only thing I can find that they do with a K1 is to assign a embassy case number to the petition, run your names through NCIC, and send it to the embassy.  There must be more that they don't tell us.....

Glad yours got shoved out the door and off to the embassy.  Hope your embassy is a quick one and you can make up some lost time now.  Sounds like you are ready, just need the interview and you are set.   Best of luck to you ;)

I've posted in the UK forum but wanted to check here as well and see if anyone had any advice.

I've seen that sometimes in the medical, people who have suffered from depression in the past have had to provide more information from their GP. Does anyone know if this might be the same for anxiety? I was diagnosed with OCD and Chronic anxiety as a teenager and now I'm worried it's going to cause problems in my medical.

    Hi!

I''ve been stressing about this so much lately too.

Basically I struggled with depression and anxiety in my teens and also SH although it was never anything really serious...I was just being a silly teenager nearly 17 years ago. I also had a time in the UK when i was a bit down. It all shows on my medical history although I was never on any meds or diagnosed with anything I want to be better safe than sorry so I have got a letter from my GP stating that I'm fine now and not a danger to myself or others. I am still a bit worried and I was thinking about not mentioning my teenage past, however you need to declare this on the medical questionnaire at Knightsbridge and they do not specifically ask for depression, they ask if you have ever suffered from a mental disorder which anxiety is. The way I see it, it's better to cover everything before hand and just be honest when you go there. A lot of people have suffered from some kind of mental health issues at least once in their life and I think they just want to ensure that you are ok now :)

Is it me or our house is getting more quiet lately? Of course weekends have an effect on that, but it's Monday again :D

I guess people are busy moving on with the process and taking care of things. And the ones still waiting, 5-6 months after filling, are probably not in the best mood to see others progressing.

So let's hope for a good week around here. Good luck to the ones that are having the medical this week, like @Salty2305 or their interviews, like @AnJ Co (have a great trip tonight... or tomorrow, not sure about the time), @krizia and @Y&P. Hope lots of you get your NVC# and cases moving to the Embassy, and even more NOA2'S, because... About time!

    Fingers crossed :)

I hated Psychology in college.  Literally loathed the subject.  Going through pre med, so many PSY courses were required - but still, I do not consider myself to be one qualified to weigh in on this from a clinical standpoint.  However, what I do know is that I do not consider anxiety to be a mental disorder.  I believe we ALL will admit that when we filed our petitions, we did our homework, we had a set period of time in mind that our NOA2 was going to take and when that date arrived, we then ANXIOUSLY awaited our golden letter, and we were filled with anxiety for weeks after.  That period was filled with anxiety, worry, stress, preoccupation, or a thousand other terms used to describe the heightened priority of this event over our other required daily thoughts.  After NOA2, the anxiety diminished some, but returned sporadically through the next processes and mile markers.  While we would agree that this process is an extreme event in one's future life - we can see the importance of this phase and how it demands a higher level of attention to manipulate and steer its' outcome.  Many of us (outside of the realm of immigration) have little to be anxious over, while many of us have much to be anxious over.  We all walk in different shoes.  The moral to this long story is that I believe Outside influences create anxiety not internal ones, and I would not check a 'mental disorder' box due to anxiety.  Ironically, I saw our Psychologist at lunch a few minutes ago, I was going to ask him this question, but he was a little anxious himself... :D

Thanx @Estibaliz, this is a very exciting week, indeed.  Between all of us here - we are spread out between NOA1 and AOS but so many have mile stones this week.  I expect both lists to light up the end of this week, all for good progress reasons :D    It's so cool to see so many getting so very close to destination.

  9. A legitimate question, here is what the US State Dept Foreign Affairs Manual says:

9 FAM 41.81 N6.7 Additional Factors That May Raise Questions in K-1 Cases (CT:VISA-756; 07-27-2005) a. There are several possible discrepancies between the facts stated on the petition and the actual circumstances of the K-1 beneficiary which might lead the consular officer to question whether the relationship is bona fide or which might cause the petitioner to choose not to go forward with the marriage. These include having one or more children not named in the petition, or a prior undisclosed marriage (even if it has been annulled or ended by divorce or death), or, in the case of a fiancée, a current pregnancy. b. Discovery of a ground of ineligibility of the K-1 applicant raises another issue of the petitioners awareness of all of the factors associated with the fiance(e). c. Consular officers should use their discretion in determining whether to return the K-1 petition to the DHS in such cases. They should, however, first solicit from the petitioner information as to whether he or she was aware of the particular circumstance(s) and whether, in light thereof, he or she still wishes to proceed with the proposed marriage. If satisfied in this regard, consular officers need not return the petition. d. Consular officers should return the K-1 petition to DHS for reconsideration 9 FAM 41.81 Notes Page 6 of 9 U.S. Department of State Foreign Affairs Manual Volume 9 - Visas if not satisfied with respect to the bona fides of the relationship or if the petitioner indicates that he or she no longer intends to go forward with the marriage.

While this isn't per se a problem, just make sure the petitioner is aware - and document for the CO this awareness.  Bring a copy of an email from the petitioner where he is talking with you about the pregnancy - for example.

Monica is headed for her Medical.  Hopefully she won’t have to have too many vaccinations.

    Here's to a speedy easy medical! :D

Those vaccs are weird, anyways.   Ann got 3, and come down with cold symptoms (they warned her it would result in that).  I think that is so odd.  I wonder if they use a live virus for the one universal flu shot??????

Have you tried IMO IT IS FREE and need to buy credits for anything good video also

Skype works perfectly.  It's the lack of interpersonal communication I hate.  We use Whatsapp video, also, but having someone physically with you as opposed to half a world away on a computer or app.

After so long of a LD relationship and 4 to 5 months between personally seeing each other,  I'm just ready to get us in the same household :D

I had travelling to US is ok meanwhile the K1 procedure (I had done it to visit my fiance and also for business trips)... However, I think I had read that travelling after the NVC stage, I mean between NVC and Visa interview is not recommended. Anyone which recall this or had experience with this?

Planning to go the thanksgiving week...

Only "rule' I have heard is spending 2x the time OUT of the US as IN the US.

Thxgiving should be good to go if you have double the time Out of the country as in it.  Make it easier on yourself, and keep copies of your K! petition with you on the trip so you can show how you are doing this the legal way.
