  1. Interview done today in San Jose office. Did the civics first, followed by English test then went through the application. Questions asked:

    1. Name 3 of the original 13 colonies.
    2. What was the US main concern during the Cold War.
    3. In what month do we vote for the president?
    4. What is the highest court in the US?
    5. What is one right only for a US citizen?
    6.  What is the name of the national anthem?

My application went very smoothly and was in and out in less than 10 minutes.

same as you but need to wait till sept 2021 coz that will be my 3rd year of my GC

So I found out recently that if you've already been three years married and approaching your third year of GC, you can apply for your N400 90 days before your third year GC. Meaning if your 3rd year anniversary of GC is in Sept 2021, you can apply in May/June depending when your anniversary is. You can check via here - https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator

Hello neighbour! Very nice, congratulations! I've been checking everyday. Fingers crossed it will follow yours soon.

  4. Its been a busy month but finally have time to sit down and write this out.

On Nov 6, had my greencard interview at San Jose office. Had to wait almost half an hour after my appt. time even though we rocked up earlier than the time. (So about 45-50 min wait). The lady was very nice. She went through the i-485 form questions and updating any changes (my new job, husband's job promotion with salary and title etc.) We provided some forms from our original packet that she said she couldn't find in the packet in front of her. She asked some questions about us, how we met, if we met each other's families, if we plan to have kids etc. She took our evidence of relationship (photos with family, lease agreement, health insurance etc) After the interview she took my fingerprint and gave us a letter about the process and that we are pending approval. Later that night around 7pm, I got a text update saying that it was approved.

According to the updated status, Green card will be in my hand today. Nov 15.

hey to everyone who has already found work, congrats! I am curious whether you need to show your education levels for a simple retail job. I heard you need a high school diploma at least or a GED. Which i have neither! If anyone could please share their experience it would be great :)

Hey Cristina, its probably best asked in these two forums, as it will have users who may have had that experience and is currently working:

    1. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/115-working-amp-traveling-during-us-immigration/

    2. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/15-moving-to-the-us-and-your-new-life-in-america/

Alternatively, you should look at local colleges that may have short courses (kinda like TAFE courses back in Australia!)

Did they send a message or you just checked it online? Was it "case is received" before this status?

    Congrats!!!

Thank you! They sent me a text this morning telling me that the case number has been updated and to check on uscis. They then sent me an email saying it has been changed to Card being Produced. Before this, it was "Case Received"
