Congrats! When did USCIS receive your application? Just curious 🙂
On March 31st

Check was cashed early this morning and received a text update that they got our package! Great way to start this Friday! If you got your NOA1 already, how long did it take between the check getting cashed and the NOA1 in the mail?

USCIS seems to be super backed up for almost everyone. If you look at some of the other forums for January filers, some of them are just getting their NOA's. So yes, there is literally nothing you can do but wait Hang in there!
We have to file in about a week and expect to wait a while too, however, look at it this way, at least your wife and stepdaughters are here with you waiting and not in another country!

We have to wait until March 11th to file! Getting everything ready now! Wayyyy less nervous this time than with the K1 and AOS!

Use a stable address like your parents if your plans are not yet firm
I agree with this! ^^^
When we filed, I was living abroad with my now husband.
We used my parents address as our address and simply sent an updated address to USCIS when we moved.

Although some people say it isn't necessary, I feel like having more evidence and documents is always the smarter and safer way to go! I am a over-preparer, so I gave my now husband all of the documents to take with him. They didn't ask for any of it but it did make both of us feel more secure and prepared. If they asked for anything, we would have had it.

Thanks!! I'm hoping for lots of November approvals this week too. Fingers crossed, anyway! This process sure is slow, isn't it? 😂
Hope you two are doing well in the newly obtained Green Card bliss! 💕
We are doing great! Thanks so much! 💜 Planning some trips finally! And my husband has finally been able to apply for some jobs! Hoping for some good news for you guys ASAP! You deserve it!!!! 💜

We had our interview today: approved! Very happy!
The officer said that our application had already been approved and she just kept our proof of relationship. She asked us about how we met, when we met our families, our wedding, and why we decided to get married. Then she just let us know that she was going to approve our application.
Congrats!!!! Doesn't it feel great?!!! 🎉

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That sounds amazing! Very happy that it was such a smooth process for you guys, I'm sure it's huge relief to have it over
Thanks so much! And yes! My husband doesn't want to believe it though! Until he has his Green Card in his hands I think 😜

We filed in November and didn't get AP at all. We got our Green Card interview before AP or EAD. They are soooooo behind right now. As crappy as it is, I would say try not to plan anything you have to be out of the country for. I know there are some other November filers who have missed weddings and funerals back home

My husband and I both got a joint Charles Schwab bank account. Everything is pretty much done online and it is a great piece of evidence to show. Also, do you rent or own your home? If both of your names are on the lease or mortgage, that is also another great piece. I would say to try and gather as much as you possibly can because you got soooooo lucky to have your interview scheduled so quickly!

We took everything they asked for. Originals and copies. However, they didn't ask for almost anything and none of the copies. However, I know that's not the case for a lot of people. So bring all originals and copies. It really varies from officer to officer! So we ended up showing up with 3 folders of evidence 🤷♀️ Even though we didn't have to show much, it's better safe than sorry!

We had a very similar cover letter! We also only submitted 1 cover letter for the whole packet and it seemed to be just fine!
