Hi March Whiners!
Congratulations to all who received their NOA2 and those who are getting ready for their interview. Also to @Alysia&Luis for the interview approval. Just gotta get through POE and y'all will be together for good!!
I just wanted to come by and let y'all know I received my NOA2 in the mail yesterday with a 07/13/17 date.. Although I'm not going through with it anymore, I just wanted to give someone a boost of motivation that their still giving out NOA2's even if it's at a tortoise's pace.
Good luck everyone! I'm hoping all March whiners get their NOA2 soon.
Thank you!!!! We are very glad to see the "light" at the end of the tunnel!
I know everything happens for a reason and I know that things will end up exactly where they are supposed to for you.

Hey guys
has anyone booked their interview and printed off their confirmation page?
Could someone please tell if this confirmation page has the applicants name and case number on it?
The doctors need proof of name and case number and we haven't recieved an email/letter as of yet.
Thanks!
Ours did...it had my fiance's name, payment receipt, interview appointment confirmation and our case number. Not sure if it is the same for every embassy, but I would think it would be...

That is really good news. We applied 3 days after yours and did not even get anything. I am not sure if I ever can even meet my fiance again. She is so upset and not talking at all. Happy for you.
Oh no...i hope she comes around. I know the inconsistency with USCIS is frustrating

My timeline just moved into August. Good thing I never expected any good luck coming our way. You have to laugh at the whole thing
We were mentally preparing for the 5 month NOA2 time frame just to not set ourselves up for disappointment. We have been pleasantly surprised along the way

No confirmed date yet...waiting on getting his visa in hand. Too many horror stories seen here of folks not having their visa by their flight time. He is getting everything final packed up and will be ready to get a ticket probably few days after visa!!

Interview APPROVED!!

Quick question! My fiance's interview is tomorrow and I received an email from the embassy this afternoon (actually addressed to him) confirming the appointment saying that he needed to fill out and submit the DS160. He has already filled out and submitted this and bringing a printed copy of the confirmation page tomorrow. Did any of you receive this email the day before the interview? Me being super paranoid person is concerned he needs to fill out and submit a new DS160.

Yeah, he's lucky! I actually have to give notice 3 months before I'd plan on moving out - same with the job - but I made a deal with work for a spontaneous leaving, since I told them 2 months ago already, and my landlord is a lovely lady and she lets me out with a month notice also. But now, since it's kinda close I have to make a point to not be stuck for another month. So... no risk no fun.
My place is in clearing as well... the poor ladies at the leasing office in Newport News probably hate me already, since my giant moving boxes are dropping in one after the other hahaI could imagine! If they are anything like the lovely ladies in the mail room at my apartment - I get a lovely eye roll when my monthly box from chewy.com is delivered with all my cat supplies.

Luuuuucky! But I'm so happy for you!
Yeah, I'm hoping for next week. Since I made the countdown tick for my apartment I'm hoping for the best haha.
I'll be some homeless german bum on the way to VA lolAh maybe that is just the thing needed to get things moving along! Luis is planning on clearing out of his apartment this weekend so he can spend the last few weeks at his families house. Peru is definitely a little more lax on giving notices to apartments and such lol

I agree with u, the last 24 hours rite b4 the interview are the most stressful ones, u won't be able to sleep tonight due to the stress, the place where my fiancé is - New Delhi , folks working in the us emabassy in New Delhi r simply notorious, if they r having a bad day at home they will get it all out on u and will deny ur fiancé visa for no damn reason ☹️☹️☹️☹️
Oh no! From what I have read is that the embassy in Peru is not too bad. I am just going to be in much anticipation to have this major step of the process over!!

Hi March Whiners!! Back in Virginia today. I have been trying to get caught up on all your happenings, but know that I missed a few pages here and there. So CONGRATS to all those receiving their NOA2, NVC# and any movement on your cases!!!! For all still waiting - I know your time will come!!
We had Luis' medical last week while I was there - he is a good healthy Peruvian! He picked up the medical packet last week....AND his interview is TOMORROW!!! Ahhh I am going to be super anxious the next 24 hours!!

No, and I probably won't make him
He's an introverted hermit and hates calling people
So for now, he's excused. If there's no mail until the end of next week/beginning the week after I'll make him call.
Because then the 21 days are gone by! So I hope for a mail heheAww I understand!! They should definitely have the number for you by next week!

From my fiance's experience - We went to the medical clinic at 7AM for check-in (once he got checked-in and called back I went off to Starbucks to wait ) He had to have chest x-rays, blood drawn, urine and then lastly, four vaccines. This was on Wednesday and they said they would call him Monday if there were any issues, if not he could pick-up the packet to take to the interview the next Wednesday. He is out of the clinic and joined me at Starbucks at 10AM (everything done in about 3 hours). I think everything is country/embassy specific on how the medical is done and how the records get to the embassy, but that was our experience.
