For the sake of anonymity I have created a new account with the hopes of sharing my current situation and possibly helping someone else. I am an active member on here and do not and will not share any personal details so do not ask because I am not sharing, all I will say is that he is from a high fraud country.
 
My situation is the following:
 
I caught my husband talking to women and on dating sites, he has displayed countless times that when we are okay he is faithful, when we have a disagreement or argument he flies to open a dating app and starts talking to others. I didn't want to believe that he was just in it for a green card but I should've gone with what was being shown to me. He showed me that he was ungrateful, disrespectful and childish yet I chose to continue, I am a beautiful woman so for those people always talking about red flag this or that, I am young and good looking with a great job and personality. He put up the best of farces to get what he ultimately wanted. I have now cut the cord and moving forward, I am not a weak person and do not accept BS, this is cut with no return. Hoping that you ladies open your eyes to the signs and if it doesn't feel right is because it isn't.

I overstated a B2 visa and it has never came up during the interview so if I were you  I wouldn’t be too concerned

Birth tourism is 100% legal. Stop chastising the OP. Also, let's assume that she knows her friend better than you do. 
 
OP, she should look into traveler's insurance. The premiums will probably be quite high but it might still be worth it. 

She won't be bringing bag of cash as proof of money. That's for sure. But that's what mastercards and visas do.
I don't want to say this but she has a  big real estate business back home and chains of fastfood chain. So she won't let taxpayers here to pay for her baby Roel😉

Weed is not a big deal and it's legal in California. Alcohol is much worse. 
 
OP, you definitely need an immigration lawyer as well, not just a defense attorney. Pleading guilty might be a problem. In the future, only enjoy weed in legal states and don't take it to states with backwards laws 

I second that. A year ago we inquired with Tier 2 about the status of our RFIE and got an interview scheduled few minutes after the call. 

it's not if you take into account the cost of travel for my fiancee to get married in here, the cost of translating all the official Spanish documents etc.

You are considered an international student, therefore you get no financial aid and out of state tuition at the admittance. The admission process doesn’t differ much. If you’re talking about an undergraduate program, you will have to take SAT/ACT and TOEFL. They’ll want originals and certified translations of your high school diploma (or diplomas if your home country issues one after each completed grade) and final exams certifications (if applicable) with translations. Some universities will want an English speaking teacher or advisor to complete an evaluation for you. If you get in and get your GC before the semester starts, you can petition to change to a domestic status. In order to get an in state tuition you’ll most likely have to be a resident of your state for at least one year. It varies from state to state and from university to university, so if you want to know what you exactly need you should contact your desired’s university international student advisor. 
 
Thats for the 4 year university. The process is probably easier if it comes to a 2 year community college.

Got the same RFIE shortly after I filled in Jan 2017. Responded to it in March 2017 and received an interview date in May 2017. But I guess waiting times are different for everybody 

you can always try this and fail at your k-1 visa interview. after that the CR-1 is  open for you. Good luck on your future CR-1 it's ony 14-16 month after you finally file

Don’t use usps unless you want it to get lost in the mail. Use UPS or FedEx. 

I got RFIE and responded over a month later and my EAD didn't get delayed. I'd rather say that it depends on case. I've seen a few cases when People didn't get RFIE and waited for EAD over 120 days. 
Also about the change of status from 'response to RFIE received'.. there's no specific timeframe. I waited around 80 days? I think. And my status changed directly from 'response to RFIE received' to ' interview is scheduled'. When I called them around day 60 they said that they were doing background check on the submitted documents so I guess it's some kind of verification of documents. so once again it depends on a case.  It's good to insist to speak to tier 2
 

I do it myself, there are lots of apps out there that guide you through making the picture just right as far as facial positioning. Even the DOS website has a photo tool you can use to take a regular photo and size it accordingly. I've actually had drug stores mess up the pictures more often than not (maybe I'm just unlucky), so doing it myself has had much better success.
 
The downside is, as mentioned, you have to pay close attention to the background you use, etc., to make sure it matches spec, whereas the photo stores have all of that ready to go.
 
In short, do as you're most comfortable. Whether you take the photo or the drug store, scrutinize it to make sure it meets all requirements.

the questions are pretty straight forward, relating to but not only to work, travels outside the country mainly. Nothing you have to worry about, unless you have some kinda conviction for smoking marihuana or similar drug offense or assault. Anything and everything that has a misdemeanor or more will show up. 

Not to sound like a used car salesman, but Global Entry:
 
a) quick entry to the USA, no immigration (just kiosk) answer 4 questions , only customs is the only person you either hand your printout ticket or when so to secondary (very rare)
b) you also get TSA-Precheck included to be used for domestic flight and no need to empty your pocket, take off shoes and get your laptop out of your bag
c) a redress number doesn't give you the above...and since Global Entry is unique on that they have no confusion who you are, make sure no felonies or even misdemeanors as old as they may be because it can cause a denial and you loose $100.
d) GE is available at lots of different airports, so no trip wasted for interviews. 
e) as you can see...very versed in GE 

I had been a PR for almost 5 years when I applied for citizenship.  I had been hauled in to secondary twice while I was a PR when returning from Canada.  I had a very nice agent the last time when I asked him what the issue was , and how can I avoid this issue?".  He replied "only US citizens are guaranteed entrance in to the US". 
 
In short, it may happen again.  No guarantees until you are a US citizen.

Guaranteed  entry yes, that does not mean you are guaranteed not to go to secondary. I also do not have a common name and was stopped many time and went to secondary when i was a PR. What i would suggest is to get clearance and sign up for Global entry. This is not a guarantee of going to secondary or not, but the likelihood is much much smaller.  So far in the almost 5 years i had GE i have not been stopped or send to secondary.  I am USC and did travel about 13 times outside the US in the last 4 - 5 years. The $100 is worth the time spent to get it. It takes me 5 minutes to get from Immigration kiosk to the outside in ATL.

IMHO, translation done by a certified translator should be sufficient. 
For AOS it is possible to translate documents yourself, but I’m not sure if it applies to visas

From my experience, I would suggest you to get a US driving license ASAP. Before I was eligible to get one, I got pulled over and they did not honor an international drivers license. I got arrested and sent to court for driving without license. Charges were dropped, but it was still a nerve racking experience.
