Besamiot reacted to Greenbaum in Ds-160
The process of completing the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application is simple when all are done at once. You see when mom completes hers it will ask the question is there anyone else and then a "yes" will populate all her information to the children.
Now having said that, the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application does not have to be done but prior to the scheduling of the interview. Since all embassies are in lockdown it would be prudent to just give a few more weeks till such time as you have the children's passports.

That happened to me. Beneficiary never told me about a previous marriage. He provided a certificate of celibacy that I included in the i-129 package. And prior to my meeting him in 2016, he had visited the US in 2010 as a married man. Guess what? He was confronted with this at his interview and denied. Reason? No divorce/death certificate was included in the application. Of course, I couldn't continue with someone who kept such information from me.

Greenbaum, keep being the helper you have been. Don't allow negative attitudes to dampen your zeal to do what you love doing. Good thing you acknowledge that covid-19 or whatever challenges people are going through, are affecting their interaction with others.

Besamiot reacted to Sparkle Sparkle in Visa fee and police report
Generally if it's from a country you lived in the validity should be 1 year as far as you don't go back there again. If it's from the country you currently live in, it should be valid based on the official timeline of the issuing authorities as some police report do have expiration date on them, and some are officially valid for 3-6 months

Hey Dale. I know it's hard to wait. You have been so patient. I pray you don't have to wait much longer before you are approved. And I hope the rest of the journey will be easier and faster for you. Let's keep the faith. We will all smile soon😀

Hi, I think it’s possible to do the police report in Abuja. I did mine in Lagos though, also the bank need the passport number for the visa fee.

Besamiot reacted to Greenbaum in Visa fee and police report
When in doubt your best practice should be any official documents explaining the procedure. I quote
Procedure for Obtaining: Applicants need to contact the Deputy Inspector General, Criminal Investigation Department, Nigeria Police Force, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. The applicant should bring information regarding their full name, place and date of birth, nationality, passport number, date and place of issuance (for current passport or passport used during applicant's stay in Nigeria), exact periods of residence in Nigeria and addresses where applicant resided.

Visa Fee: $265 must be paid at any branch of Guaranty Trust Bank PLC in Nigeria. Be sure to keep the payment receipt number.

Hello guys. I'm happy to inform you that I got my NVC letter. When I ceac today, I found out it is "ready" but I have 2 questions, especially for K1 visa applicants in Nigeria.
My first question is about the police report. Does it have to be done only in Lagos? My fiance lives in Abuja.
My second question is about payment at GT bank. ( And I would so much appreciate help from applicants who had children to accompany them). My fiance has his passport ready but his children dont have passports yet (due to procrastination on his part). And now Nigeria is on lockdown.
****Can he make the payments for all of them while waiting for their passports to be established? Please, someone school me on this. I'm so confused.

I think special circumstances will e considered. If I remember well, it may only delay his obtaining of his citizenship if he spends a full year out of the United States.

Besamiot got a reaction from Carpe Vinum in Is my mistake on F-1 visa a material misrepresentation?
I dont know of any exact same situation but I know of one where someone was "married " on a visitor visa t years prior to meeting their USC fiance. Never to fiance. I-129f was filed with no death or divorce certificate. Long story short, he saw confronted at his visa interview about it and visa denied due to no evidence of termination of previous marriage. So, yes, it is a misrepresentation.

Hahaha. Greenbaum. You have such a calming effect on us. All if you anxious, come join me. I'm still waiting for NOA2 since I received NOA1 on June 19th. Its tough and hard to calm down but we just have to since there is no way we can push anything. I wish you all the best in this process.

Do you have a lawyer? Document the abuse. If he is abusing you, you have the right to walk away from that abuse. He can't call you his property. If you have a recording device in your phone, record all conversations. He can't cause you to go back. He cant enslave you either. Abusers are like that. They abuse you but don't want you to leave.

Besamiot got a reaction from Greenbaum in Waiting for NOA2
Thanks Greenbaum. I don't think it has been. I remember when I did the inquiry, they said they will get to me latest the 10th. But they got back to me before February 10th. So I will waiting.
