It is easy to blame Trump.... not the first comment like this and not the last. I filed a cr1 for my wife, stuck at USCIS for 8.5 months, just got my wifes visa July 5th. 63 days short of our 2 year anniversary.

The process of immigration is neither fast or easy, but to get your wife of fiancee here with you is well worth the wait.

I do not thing anything was being implied, but 5-7 months is not a long wait, there are people who wait years.

also, I see alot of people mentioning Trump and the current administration, these immigration laws have been around for a while, they just were not enforced like they are now.

5-7 months for an approval can still happen but it is highly unlilely, I noticed then when my wife and I filed our I-130 petition with uscis, there must have been about 150+ others at the same time. We filed November 2016 so there is a slow down just because of the shear volume of petitions.

by the way, these are not all of Trumps policys either, these same policys are from previous administrations dating back to Clinton. But again, they were never heavily enforced until now.

unfortunally the immigration is the one thing that none of us have the abilty to speed up. It moves at it’s own pace. Just be patient, everyones time will come. Think positive and remember the end goal..... to have our loved ones with us.

I used to feel that way, back when I first filed. I got to the point where it was frustrating to see people demand information or complain about how slow the process was when the information about processing times is so easy to find.

We're all in it together, but asking people to be self educating is not a negative thing.

According to our timeline: Your I-129f was approved in 217 days from your NOA1 date.

We all understand the frustration and wanting answers now now now, but have patience as best as you can. Start saving as much money as you can. Start making room for him in your life, apartment, car, anything. Just keep yourself busy, because there is ALWAYS more waiting to do with this process. It is not short OR fun.

I don't really get why people work themselves into such a frenzy waiting. We filed late October and my fiance will be entering the US on Friday, never once got frustrated with waiting. You should know what you are in for when you get started and whats a few months compared to the rest of your life?

I do not believe that the country she is from (Ukraine) has that much to do with it. It is simply the immigrant intent and lack of ties, coupled with a I-129f petition.

Kiev is actually a very easy embassy to deal with.

Just hang in there and the interview will be here soon enough.

    good luck to you

You just have to have patience. We started the K-1 process in Sept. of last year and she'll finally be entering the country Wednesday of this week. It is a long drawn out process, but you just have to have hope and wait. Throughout the process she's lived in Thailand on a little island in the gulf called Koh Samui, while I live in North Carolina. As often as I can I take 2-4 weeks off work to visit her, takes about 30 hrs each way to fly out there. Everyday that we are not together, we're either on Line or Facebook doing video chat with each other. It can be difficult to the so far away, but you just need to have hope. Think about when the two of you will finally be able to be together...

I'm just so overjoyed that our visa process is over. She'll be here this week and I'll be taking a month off work, so we can travel around and get married close to family in Florida.

Some people are very ignorant. Don't want to think before posting. At all. Don't want to be thankful for what they have and even for a small possibility of bringing someone to the US. I just don't understand what's wrong with this planet sometimes. Whatever.

Come on already. Trump has nothing to do with this. Why everyone is blaming him? He's actually making things better for the country. Be thankful for the fact that you can do K-1 process at all. FYI, I've been waiting for my wife to come for almost 2 years. So sit tight and just wait. We all go through this.

Lol 5 - 7 months is nothing. Be grateful that your visa category doesn't take + plus 10 years (siblings, adult children) then you could come complain that it's a long wait.

You are wrong.  If she does what you suggest, she will hurt her application.  You shouldn't double down on bad advice just because you have strong opinions about speed cameras.

You guys are bashing me.... this has been said multiple times on here.

pregnancy is simply not a reason for an expedite except if there is a serious medical issue and even then alot of proof and documentation is required.

if you guys are niave to think that some people will not go to such extremes, well you are wrong.

A couple of years ago a guy started a thread seeking help. He had been living in the US for a while and was petitioning his wife and four kids who were still back in his home country. Something must've made the made the CO suspicious about the timing of his wife's pregnancies while he was in the US because the CO requested DNA tests for all the kids. Turns out the two youngest was not his.

VJ sees cases where the time and distance has resulted in a love one spawning a child with someone outside of the relationship.

And I can remember a case where an immigrate left her husband and child after she obtained her permanent resident status. She admitted to the husband that the GC was all she wanted. The last update he gave the husband was left to raise the child on his own.

The point being is that an argument can be made for both sides.

I have lost count of the times that I have seen beneficiaries, single unmarried with a child being sponsored, when the fathers permission comes up seems he has not been seen, not known etc, so from that side what does it prove.

Example. You are a man, got random woman pregnant/ or you're a woman and get pregnant by accident during one night stand.  Does it mean you have a relationship? Nope. It's just evidence of having sex.

For USCIS evidences of on going relationship is proofs of conversation, shared finances, shared address, health insurance and other documents with both parties name on it.

You can have a child with everyone, but you get that mortgage or car loan usually only with trusted spouse.
