Congratulations! For the combo interview, did USCIS notify you that it will be a combo interview? Our N400 interview is coming up and hoping it will be a combo interview. Thanks!

Hi there.. yes, I am waiting for Atlanta. I have no advice, sadly. I filed in June/July 2020 and it already was a journey with USCIS biometrics. I had to involve my congressman. I am waiting in line for interview now since April 7. When I was getting the bio done at the ASC, the lady at the intake told me to not forget to get a stamp, because it will likely take up to 2 years for an interview slot.
your hope is that you are nearly there!
can you ask your congressman to inquire? They are extremely helpful.

Florence & Jos reacted to SydMayMac in I-751 December 2020 Filers
Hello! Just wanted to share our timeline. Our petition was received in December 17th and on March 23rd our biometrics were waived. As of today, May 17th, we received the card! Completely surprised as we weren’t expecting anything for probably another year. SRC location. Best of luck to everyone!!

I can not find any processing time information, official or otherwise, for MSC. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you check the timelines for Potomac? I don't know if it works from here and to put a link here as it showed after I made the filter there. Potomac for CR1 NOA1 October 2017 and latest NOA2's Page 69
We were in this situation too. We were on hangout almost every day. She left me in november 2016 from The Netherlands after we married in October. I could go to the US
December 14. After my final interview November 2018. We knew to be patient and motivated by saying stay in the day, take it one day at a time. And when we clicked off, we always said: One day closer to be together again. We'll get there!

Interview yesterday November 11, 2017 at Amsterdam General Consulate. Approved!!!
Went so smooth. Only interested in my originals. They didn't look at any more. The NVC packet was on their desk! Except for 27 pictures of time together after I-130 till recently, they did ask for those. Interview, 10 minutes twice, two different officers... Almost an anticlimax. Visa packet next week, by courier! We celebrated on Hangouts! Flo flew back November 9. So happy we got through this hoop! Getting there!
Wish you all interviews like mine!

Florence & Jos reacted to myheart0628 in TIPS - How to avoid a NVC CHECKLIST
The proof of relationship is for the I-864A. That form is for the household member of the joint sponsor . If the joint sponsor does not meet the income requirements then they can add their income to a member of the households to meet it. In our case our joint sponsor had is wife fill it out. They used their marriage certificate to prove that they are married (relationship).

Florence & Jos reacted to Dutchster in Do I need translations at US embassy abroad?
It has to be either international or accompanied by certified translations done by a translation agency for example.

Florence & Jos reacted to Villanelle in Does Security Elderly count for I-864 sponsor requirements?
Social security counts as long as its SS benefits (retirement) and not SSI. (supplemental security income)

Florence & Jos reacted to JOL in Does Security Elderly count for I-864 sponsor requirements?
I am in a similar situation, so have a similar question, except my wife is beneficiary and my mother the person receiving SS retirement plus an additional pension. We want to include my mother as a household member because 1) my income alone is <125% of federal poverty level for a household of our size, and 2) being present to assist her now that she is in her seventies is a big reason I moved back and am now trying to bring my wife and child to join us. The Social Security Administration annually mails a statement of my mothers monthly SS retirement income for that year, so she plans to include that statement in our NVC submission because her tax return does not include that as Adjusted Gross Income (since it is not taxable.) I presume your wife also receives such an annual statement, and certainly HOPE it satisfies the NVCs standard of documentary income evidence, but really cannot know for certain. I wish I did, so anyone and everyone who DOES know from firsthand experience is now doubly encouraged and welcome to share.
My sympathies on the process: Getting my Norwegian visa was much easier, faster and CHEAPER than getting my wifes US visa, even though I did not speak a word of Norwegian but she has unaccented fluency in English. We made it this far though, so hopefully that light at the end of the tunnel is not an oncoming train....

Florence & Jos reacted to amul in NVC - May 2017 Scan Dates - Method 4: Mail processing
Thank you, though I was trying to get an answer to @goobies' question. She sent in their IV and AOS and then realized that they might have supplied the incorrect version of a birth certificate. How to resubmit the correct birth certificate in a timely manner so that they are not wasting precious time? Is there a way of amending the documents with NVC *after* mailing the AOS or IV?
If you can, try to contact NVC @goobies -- I would not wait 11 weeks only to get a checklist, but that is just me.
@Florence & Jos Yeah, our entire front loaded USCIS file was in color and when I side loaded our RFE, I printed everything in color as well. It took me weeks to go over things just to make sure I did not miss anything. There was a lot of printing and re-printing going on here.

My fiance (also in Morocco) just did the medical last week and now it's the countdown until the interview on July 10th. Our NOA2 was May 5, so things really do happen much quicker after that long NOA2 wait!

I've been reading everyone's posts on their status, and that the case status is not updating . Today I got up at 4:15 am to go to the gym, which I did . As I returned home I walked past my mailbox, a little voice told me to "check your mailbox" (something I rarely do) . I opened and didn't see anything but continued pushed the envelopes through my fingers. At the very bottom was a letter with my name, before I dismissed it I looked at the sender "Homeland Security" . I ran inside shaking all I see was my fiancé' name through the window. I tore it open and handed it to my roommate , who read it to me, "approved"!! Oh thank you Jesus!! I was literally jumping up and down. I wanted to share the news with my love, but he was still at work and an hour past , still waiting for him to get home. Once he arrived the darn Wi-Fi was on the brink. After multiple try's we finally connected , by this time he was tired, hot and sure he is hungry being that it's Ramadan. He can't hear me well, but I was able to give him the news, now I'm late to my 9 am appointment at work and it's 8:55am. I can't wait until tonight to finally see his face and talk. This has been a long time coming , I'm excited and a few more steps and I'll be with my love.
NOA 1- 3/17/17
NOA-2- 6/9/17

Yes, this is correct, you provide a copy and bring originals to the interview. But sometimes depending on your country, there are different types of birth certificates.. So some people send the wrong version in or they forgot to write their case number on the copy, and the NVC lost it..
