Yes, they do. Vote the bastards out of the office this fall. Impeach the orange ape. Move on with our lives.

We just made it back from Mexico tonight. Flew out of DFW, no issue. Checking into the airline took slightly longer. No problem at border in Cancun. No problems flying back to the states either. Huge sigh of relief. NO VISA NECESSARY.

Actually, let me elaborate on this a bit more. This forum is teeming with posts and cries for help from people whose immigration is based on their marriage to a US citizen, but who are clearly in an abusive relationship with their spouse. It seems like for many marriage is a vehicle for obtaining permanent residence and citizenship. It is not. And people should not be surprised when it is brought to their attention.

Of course mistakes happen. Far be it from me to judge anyone. But your moral character is exactly what USCIS will be looking at as you go through the process, especially when you apply for citizenship. That's all I was saying.

I would worry a lot, not about the Yes or No, but about the emotional cuts of such incidents on the one that's on the receiving end. You are ok on the N400, but is your marriage ok?

That is total nonsense.......tax cuts and removing excessive government regulations have given our country the best economy in years.......but everyone is welcome to keep drinking the MSM kool-aid.

Good afternoon everyone, i just want to give an update on my case, I went in for my N-400 interview this afternoon at Tampa, FL. Waited for 2 hours 45 minutes because i went in so early, when finally called in the immigration officer that did the interview was so sweet, we were just having general discussion about life, what i do for a living, where did i go to college and where i worked. She asked me to read, then told me to write what she read out to me, asked me 6 questions and told me congratulations, i asked her i have I-751 pending and she told me yes she knows and she got in in front of her, and told me not to worry cos she have approved it, she did not ask me for any document, did not ask for my spouse, before i walked out of her office i got an update via text and email saying i am in line for Oath Ceremony.
I would say always have faith and believe and hope for the best in every situation. My journey is almost over i can'r wait for next week to be sworn in as an AMERICAN.

I use mostly google news and twitter. I follow a lot of news outlets and people related to the topic like USCIS, ACLU and so on, and so I'm usually up to date. Also I have cnn installed just to get their "breaking news" notifications in general. Google news has been the place where I've gotten the most information about immigration though. Because it's "smart", if you look enough times about immigration topics then you start to organically get more news about it without having to search for it. And finally in the google news app, you can search for USCIS to get the most updated stuff on the topic and then "favorite" it.

US Residents: If your United States visa stamped on your passport already expired but you have an official document proving your legal status in USA, you must apply for a Mexican visa (I-797 A Forms, Advance Parole Forms, I-20 OR DS-2019 Forms won’t be accepted to entering Mexico), unless you have a valid Visa for any of the countries listed above (Canada, Japan, United Kingdom or Schengen area).

Just an update to my almost ending journey with USCIS.....

I filed for citizenship in Dec 2017.  Forgot actual date.  Online estimated completion date was Dec 2018.  I'd stopped looking at it much being busy with a one year old.
Had my N400 interview in NY Federal Plaza yesterday.  Scheduled for 2:30 pm, 9th floor (Queens) and got there at 1:50 pm.  I was asked if my lawyer would be joining me and I told them no.  I'd used a work lawyer to simply do the paperwork but they weren't going to represent me.  So instead of being told to go to another floor, I was given a ticket number and told to wait.  Room had very few people.  Most people coming in to 9th floor were checking in and being sent to other floors.  So I was bit surprised and thought this was going to go fast.

My concerns going in.... I owed back taxes from 2016 due to hubby unemployment, cashing retirement.  Am on payment plan so took payment plan info and bank statements showing monthly auto deductions.  Also I had answered no to all questions on arrests, citations etc but afterwards remembered I had a ticket from 2016 that I pleaded not guilty (cause I should never have gotten that ticket) and the case has been postponed twice (once me being heavily pregnant, second the officer) and case is now scheduled for Nov 2018.  I read that you should let officer know.  Not sure.  I took my driving license record and the notice with date on it for nov 2018.  I also took dmv manual to show that I was not really required to be doing what office told me I should be doing when given ticket and that's why I am fighting it.

Back to interview day at federal plaza
even though only 2-3 people in front of me  (some people come to this floor to be seen at window for bringing documents, pics, questions etc).  I waited till almost 3:30 from 1:50.  I asked front person and she checked, told my file was still being reviewed which made me nervous why so long.  But then again I've lived in USA legally for 28 yrs almost and I have a huge file i'm sure.  Most officers were leaving around 3:30 and I was still waiting.

Finally got called by a younger woman at 3:30, walked back.  Was asked to swear to tell truth etc, did so.  She asked if I was waiving for lawyer to be there, I said yes.  Made me sign a screen acknowledging so, took fingerprints, pic.

Went through basics of date of birth, address,  work info etc.  Verified hubby date of birth, if still unemployed (yes).  Then started questions from application, yes/no.

When asked about taxes, I said I always filed but owe taxes, explained situation.  Showed docs on payment plan, bank statements.  She took those copies.  Said shouldn't be a problem as on payment plan.

Then other questions.  When on question of arrest, citation, etc.  Told her about traffic ticket.  asked if i mentioned it on my GC application, I hadn't but it was after I applied for removal of conditions etc.  I told her I was pleading not guilty and why/about case.  I tried showing DMV printout which shows I am not required to be doing what officer asked.  SHe didn't look at that or DMV record.  She wanted to know the amount for fine which I didn't know and kept asking about that.  I asked if should be a problem she said she wasn't sure and would have to check.

Then I had my English reading/writing, civics test.  I got first 6 right.

Asked if I have 2 passport pics and luckily I'd read online and got 2 on way from Walgreens.  Not best looking.... but gave those and she had me sign them.

Then signed a screen showing changes to my application with traffic violation and taxes.  Also confirming some other info.

Given a sheet saying passed english/civics but can't make decision.

I asked again if will be a problem with the traffic violation and pending hearing.  She said she's not sure but can check on way out. I asked for her to do so please.

Then walked out.  She made me wait on side when she went to ask someone.  Came back and told me that it will not be a problem.  I asked how long is wait time now.  Said about 3 weeks but they have 120 days to make decision.

Left feeling better that at least she said all should be fine.

My phone was dying with 5 % when I got txt alert case was updated.  2 alerts.  Had to wait to get home and then checked and said oath ceremony was being scheduled.  Yay.

Today I was able to log in and see date.  9/11 Brooklyn Cadman Plaza ceremony at 8:30 am.

    So almost there.

Just wanted to update for anyone looking for info.

As I told before, I have my own life principles. If cheat one time - then cheat second time and so on. It was my husbands birthday and i came to his work with a cake and candles and everybody was singing happy birthday song. And at home I blew up lots of balloons and put in each one different good adjectives about him and directions like "look behind tv" for his presents i got to him. And he popped all balloons and he liked my presents and then instead of saying thank you he said he cheated on me not even one time with the same girl. I said what he expects now he said he doesn't know. I went to bed all sad and he even didn't apology. Next day he came at 4 am all drunk and even didn't say me anything.  We are still not talking like its me who did smth bad. Why should I forgive that? Will it be respectful to myself?

But that's not the subject for discussion.

And there are several reason why I don't want to go back now. First of all, I had a really good job back in my country which I definitely won't get back. I got new friends here and i do like this city i live in. And also if I go back I never come back here again. No one approves me visa to here if i decide to visit america. And now I wanna try here. Nothing holding me back now besides my parents. And it doesn't connect anyhow to "marriage for the green card" if you guys see us and my attitude to my husband through all our relationship.
