Ben&Zian got a reaction from Yaztalksalot in Still no NOA1 is this normal?
It can vary. Some people do get it right away and some it takes 1-2 weeks.
Did your fiance send a check for the processing fee? If so tell them to check and see if the check was cashed.
I would give it 4-5 more business days. There is also a lot of transition going on in the USCIS with Trump coming into office soon so that could be part of the delay.

Ben&Zian got a reaction from Marc_us82 in Abuse K1 Prior to AOS
Have her change all her locks on her house.
Call and talk to the police and file restraining order.
If need be present a one way ticket for him to go away forever.
She has not signed anything legally making her responsible to support him yet, so tell her to get rid of him quickly.

Ben&Zian got a reaction from Transborderwife in is it legal to ask for Alien registration number in job application?
Standard applications ask for SSN #'s, its just how it is.
If you provide the SSN, do not know if you need to even provide the A #.

Ben&Zian got a reaction from sipra in fiance visa
You still would need to legally have some sort of required visa to visit Costa Rica with your passport... even if you tried to enter from a third country.
You two could try to meet somewhere in the middle or a different country.
Say she flies to Mexico and you meet there? Always ways around this stuff. Just have to compromise and flexible.

Ben&Zian got a reaction from FloridaMinsk in K-1 interview this Tuesday in Poland.
First, double check paperwork.
Second, relax and enjoy to weekend together.
Third, celebrate after your interview!
Good luck!

Ben&Zian got a reaction from Nanasbaby1 in Consulate reviews
While not dealing with the Embassy in Ghana obviously, I definately will support your desire for people to put in reviews and their experiences with all embassies. It is a very good source of specific information and gives people a small peak at what they may experience. Obviously a lot of people do write reviews; but there are so many that do not, and they really should.

Ben&Zian got a reaction from javadown2 in Marrying Too Early?
No reason to worry. 90 days is just a time frame. Whenever you decide to marry is up to you completely.
Like people who wait until day 89, does that mean they had second thoughts or got cold feet?
Long as you marry within the time frame it doesn't matter.

Ben&Zian got a reaction from Wooderz in Having a Private Ceremony Before K-1 is Approved & Nexus Card
Definately.
OP, honestly I suggest you go through the K-1 process, get married in the states, then after you have your AOS and AP, go back to Canada and then do your ceremony. Then you do not have to worry.

Ben&Zian got a reaction from Chardon Ne' in Having a Private Ceremony Before K-1 is Approved & Nexus Card
Nexus and all probably won't make it go much quicker. Maybe a little bit with the background check but the overall process will stay the same time frame.
As to the ceremony.... do no, do not sign any forms, and do not share any photos from that ceremony with anyone or the embassy. People who have done these 'little ceremonies' have been denied K-1's in the past because the embassy then views you as "Too married for the K-1" even if you aren't legally married. So proceed with caution on this.
For myself, I would say don't do it... but again do it cautiously if you must.

Ben&Zian got a reaction from Louie1988 in Tourist visa - I-130
It should not be a problem as long as you can show them strong ties to your country and that you do not intend to use the tourist visa to immigrate.
All you can do is try.
