No one here is complaining about it. You better hope that whoever is reviewing your case is not complaining.
It's not about how you like it but rather how USCIS likes it.

Who takes pictures holding dated receipts? That certainly would bring up a red flag? It's as if you are trying too hard not to appear fraud. Sometimes trying too hard not to appear fraudulent can bring unwanted attention.

By the way, fraudulent cases do sometimes involve big money. Some people will go to extremes to get a green card. Also, you could have receipts and then return the expensive items within 30 days. people do that all the time.

if you don't get any examples, then what are you going to do? Will you delay the process until you get examples?

If it is a legitimate relationship and you provide the necessary documents, then there should not be any problems. If you think that there may be a problem, then that is why an evolution of relationship letter is helpful.

Everyone's case is different because there are different embassies and different consular officers who will make decisions on certain things. Even if someone has the exact case as someone else, the outcomes could be different depending on how their respective officer feels and interprets their cases.

Even though a question may be yes or no on a form, you still may be asked to provide more details on that later.

Millions of people have gone through this process and have been approved. Yet you are nitpicking about something that is probably not a big deal. It is only a big deal if the relationship is not legit.

    CR1 visa is better.
It does take longer but you get the green card at the end and can start working. It is also cheaper than K1.
Only advantage for K1 is that it takes less time but in the long run you will spend more as you have to pay for adjustment of status and other fees.

Your wife is from Ireland and USCIS has not yet determined whether she deserves the privilege of getting a green card. You seem to think that your case is unique but almost everyone petitioning for a foreign spouse is an American citizen.

Also, it is precisely of the "cherry-picking" that you referred to that makes this process a little longer. Given the environment that we are living in, the US must completely screen everyone who wishes to enter the country.

Once you and your spouse are both receiving Social Security benefits, upon the death of your spouse, you will continue to receive the larger of your benefit - or your spouse’s - but not both.

The examples that you provided have nothing to do with grammar, however. How something is called is called is totally different from grammar.

In some other English-speaking countries, there may be words that they use that is not commonly used in other countries. But that is not due to bad grammar.

Even within certain parts of the United States, there are words that are more regional. In fact, you will find different uses of words for nearly every language depending on the country and the region. Again, that has nothing to do with grammar.

    That makes absolutely no sense.
Because someone is from England, that does not necessarily mean that he or she must have good grammar.

I am from Haiti and I have better grammar than the vast majority of people from English-speaking countries.

I do understand that certain countries like your husband's have a high denial rate. However, is it not possible that the denials are as a result of high fraud as oppose to racism and classism?

If a country has high fraud, then it is essential that there not be any inconsistencies or doubt about the petition of someone from that country. It is also not at the time of interview to instruct an officer of racism and classism.

Unless classism and racism exists only in Ethiopia, would not the vast majority of cases from other countries, particularly third world countries, be denied?

I assume that you mean that it is possible for someone of the same race to implement racist policies against his own.
What proof do you have that this is going on? If you are going to argue against a decision then you must have proof.

I just checked my case status and noticed that it has changed to At NVC.
I called NVC to confirm and was informed that the case is being sent to the embassy.

NVC did inform me that interviews are generally at the end of the month. Other then waiting for an email, how soon would be a good time to check for an interview date?

The frustrating thing is that we are near the end of the month of October and I may have to wait until the end of November to get an interview date.

By the way, my scan date is 9-1-2017.

    Why does it baffle you?
It is very uncommon for a man to marry an older woman, let alone 30 years older. While not always the case, it is assumed that the man wants to start a family. It is very rare for a woman in her late forties to have multiple children.
On the other hand, a man in his sixties can certainly have many children with a woman 30 years younger than he is.

Having said that, while it would be a huge red flag for an older woman married to a much younger man, it is certainly possible to get approved if a strong case is presented.

I think that you created the confusion since no where did he mention Adjustment of Status.
AOS, as he stated, is also Affidavit of Support, and it is mailed along with the IV package to NVC.

I'm not sure that I understand the relevance of mentioning that your friend is married to an African-American. You then link his race to somebody who uses cocaine and who steals. You are linking somebody's race to criminal activity. That is so not right!

As far as I'm concerned, the message that you are trying to convey is lost because you associated the crime with a race.

I submitted my petition on November 18, 2016 and was approved on June 23, 2017. While waiting for approval for USCIS and since I would need to send tax information for 2016 at the next step and since I wanted to file married jointly, my wife applied for an ITIN.  ITIN is for people who don't yet have a SS #. She received her ITIN and I filed my 2016 taxes. I received a refund because I filed married jointly as opposed to owing money if I had filed single or married filing separately.

After we were approved by USCIS, I paid the AOS and IV fees, as well as submitted the DS-260, all online. I recently submitted all the required documents to NVC. I had to wait a couple for my wife to get the police certificate since the agency issuing it needed proof that one was needed by NVC. The only concern with Haiti police certificates is that they expire in 3 months. My wife and I are now waiting to get case complete and then hopefully an interview.

In the meantime, I have photocopies of everything sent and will be visiting my wife next week for 2 weeks. I will also provide her copies of telephone logs, pictures we took together, etc.

I did not use an attorney since this is not a legal matter. The money saved from not consulting with an attorney will be used on this vacation and on other vacations after she is approved. I can read and follow directions just as well as an attorney. In fact, many attorneys have their assistants handling these cases.
