  1. **Topic split from old thread***
  2. Now there is a term from my past career which I had almost forgotten...
  3. Of course they will. The Constitution is clear. It gives only Congress the power to enact the insurrection clause of the 14th.
  4. Nice spin...but inadequate. No one has been charged with insurrection: 18 U.S. CODE § 2383 . That includes Trump.
  5. How many people have been charged with insurrection on Jan 6th? Hint: The answer is none.
  6. As reported by other VJ members, the average processing from filing to interview are not much different: USCIS Immigration Processing Times - VisaJourney K1 Visas: 563 Days (18.8 months) CR-1 Visas: 610 Days (20.3 months)
  7. We used combination of passport stamps, personal calendars, and airline itineraries.
  8. Every couple has their own priorities, and each couple must decide which visa is better for their situation. K-1 More expensive than CR-1 Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork) Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (approx 6-8 months) Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (approx 6-8 months) Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed. A K-1 might be a better choice when 18-21 year old children are immigrating also In some situations, marriage can affect certain Home country benefits, making a K-1 a better choice A denied K-1 is sent back to USCIS to expire K-1 entrant cannot file for citizenship until after having Green Card for 3 years. Once an I-129F has been approved, delaying the case is difficult to impossible if the need arises. CR-1/IR-1 Less expensive than K-1 No Adjustment of Status(I-485, I-131, I-765) required. Spouse can immediately travel outside the US Spouse is authorized to work immediately upon arrival. Spouse receives Social Security Card and Green Card within 2 or 3 weeks after entering the US Opening a bank account, getting a driver's license, etc. are very easily accomplished with GC, SS card, and passport. Spouse has legal permanent Resident status IMMEDIATELY upon entry to US. The clock for citizenship filing starts immediately upon entry to the US. A CR-1/IR-1 case can be delayed indefinitely at NVC if the need arises.
  9. Any general nationwide poll is irrelevant. Trump is comfortably leading Biden in ALL the swing states and ALL the solid red states, and a few states Biden won last time. Trump is headed toward a landslide. Remember: There are 51 Presidential elections.
  10. Then, she needs to get on a plane with that Green Card and return to the US. She can board a flight with an expired 10 year card. She might have to answer some questions at the border. Once inside the US, she can file an I-90 to try to renew the card.
  11. IMO, Biden is purposely hurting the average American with his war on fossil fuels.
  12. I would not bother with affidavits. They are extremely weak. There should be plenty of quality evidence available. Concentrate on quality...not quantity.
  13. 2 year or 10 year card? Need a timeline of events.
  14. As I said before, the Constitution gives only Congress the power to act under the 14th Amendment. As of today, there has been no one even charged with an insurrection. The SCOTUS is going to snuff out this hate driven pipe dream of dems.
  15. As I said before, the Constitution gives only Congress the power to enact the 14th Amendment.
  16. Have you checked your online account to see if they issued a reuse letter?
  17. The heat is on: The end is in sight, I believe. "I am the most qualified person in this country to be President of the United States..."
  18. *** One comment which borders on violation of Visa Journey's TOS and several quotes have been removed******This topic is now locked. OP's question about applying for a Green Card after arriving via VWP has been answered. ****** Do not ask this question again in any way*** This topic thread remains posted for educational purposes*** Members are not allowed to: "Condone or instruct, either directly or indirectly, others on how to commit fraudulent or illegal immigration activities in any way, shape, manner or method."
  19. I'm not sure Biden will survive this. His press conference after the report was a disaster.
  20. I just learned something: "Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress."
  21. From all the analytics I've seen, the dems are not going to stop Trump with Joe. Right now, Trump is headed toward a possible landslide. All this time, the dems thought they could drag Trump down and/or out with coordinated court battles.....but that isn't going as planned. Now, they are going to have to resort to another route. Will be a very interesting year.
  22. This is a devastating report for Biden and his allies who think he should be re-elected. In one online story is the following: Special counsel calls out Biden's 'faulty memory'; his attorneys slam that as false, 'inflammatory' - ABC News (go.com) "But special counsel Robert Hur's assessment of Biden's mental acuity and power of recall -- described as sparse, apparently "hazy" and, in one interaction, so bad that the president could not recall "even within several years" when his oldest son had died -- informed the decision not to recommend charges." ""He [Biden] did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended ('if it was 2013 - when did I stop being Vice President?'), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began ('in 2009, am I still Vice President?')," Hur wrote." "Hur also wrote that Biden had "diminished faculties and faulty memory" both when talking to his ghostwriter and in his interviews with the special counsel's team "
