Is there a current thread for April 2024 AOS filers? If so, can somebody please point me in the direction of the thread which I cannot seem to locate?

Sorry, just to clarify, I was handed a copy of my vaccination report at the end of the assessment. However, the report didn't enable me to complete the Form I-693, so I wasn't sure where to go from there. I included a copy of the medical report in my AOS bundle, so guess I will soon find out whether I receive a referral for further information.

Thanks for advising. Unfortunately, I was never provided with a 3025 by the physician in London. This may have been sent to the US embassy in London as part of my application. I do however have proof from the physician of the vaccinations I took on the day, coupled with all vaccinations I had previously taken (which completes everything that is necessary). Hopefully this information suffices.

Hi All, I recently married my fiancée (US Citizen), and have set about adjusting my status (AOS) from K1 so that I can obtain a Green Card. I understand that part of the AOS (I-485) application requires me to undertake or provide proof of medical examination. I undertook a medical examination back in mid November 2023 in London as part of my K1 application. As such, I was led to believe that I would not have to undergo a secondary examination whilst AOS in the US. I have a copy of my vaccination record was signed and stamped by the US approved physician in London. My question is, do I still need to complete the I-693 form as part of the (I-485), or can I just include a photocopy of the medical examination along with history of my vaccinations?

Has it been commonplace as of late for the GC to be approved and granted before AP? I want to apply for AP, however cautious that I could be wasting $630.00 (which I could really do with saving at this moment in time) should GC be issued before AP.

Congrats on obtaining your Green Card all. Quick question, did your Green Card arrive before your advance Parole application had been approved? I am due to be filing for AOS within next day or so, however weighing up whether to pay the additional $630.00 for advance parole (in light of new filing fees as of April 1st 2024), considering green card may arrive prior to advance parole approval?

Also, assuming its very rare for AP and EAD authorisation to arrive at same time? From what I take, EAD tends to arrive first?

Certainly! However she advised against using advanced parole at all when issued, whilst awaiting completion of Adjustment Of Status which I am now finding to be odd. Possibly she was being overly cautious.

Next month I will finally get to marry my fiancée in the US. Following the marriage, we will apply to adjust my status so that I can apply for my EAD, Advance parole and eventually obtain my Green Card. Our attorney has advised utlising the advanced parole to travel if/when issued due to risk of not being re-admitted to US on arrivial. At most, I would need to travel back to UK or South Africa for approx. 2-3 weeks max possibly once or twice whilst awaiting Green Card. Elderly and sick family members would find it hard to travel to visit me in USA during the period of me waiting to AOS. I understand that re-entry to USA is not guaranteed, however I would be conscious of sticking to all appointments arranged by USCIS and all paperwork in order etc Has anybody had/heard of any adverse experiences when using advance parole, and been denied re-entry at US port? From what I have read so dar, majority of people who have travelled for a short stint have returned to US with no problems. Any advice given would be much welcomed.

I would be visiting US on a tourist visa, however immigration would be aware of my CR1 application. Therefore, according to our attorney, immigration would feel there was a significant risk of me staying forever.

Thought process was that spousal visa once married was much more streamline and quicker process, as opposed to AOS. Only downside is that I would not be able to visit US in interim, however at least I would be able to travel and meet spouse elsewhere until application was granted. Heard, previously, it was taking approx, 3-6 months to complete consular CR-1 processing in UK Thank you so much, will be sure to keep all updated 😀

Yes, as crazy as it sounds. However, think we will continue with the K-1 post marriage and just wait out the process. Hoping we are one of the lucky ones with the USCIS!
