  1. She was denied because the consulate officer didn't think she would return to home country after her studies. That will have no effect on either a K-1 or CR-1.
  2. The numbers on the tax forms are entered in those 3 blocks.
  3. 1. Normal. Just give them what they want. 3. They were very specific. Mail the RFE as instructed. Never make assumptions when dealing with USCIS.
  4. The "3 most recent tax year" blocks are to be transcribed directly from the past tax forms. They have nothing to with current annual income.
  5. Sounds like there were 2 processes going on. Sounds like there were two I-130s. Sounds like a prospective visa was canceled...not LPR status (Green card). This does not affect the Green Card which was issued.
  6. Another vote for a Utah online marriage, a quick meeting anywhere, then filing the I-130. The immigration process is quite lengthy. The sooner you start, the sooner your spouse can then enter the US and become a legal resident. Why wait until December?
  7. Same for us. Wife's N-400 took only 4 months for approval (44 months after filing her I-751).
  8. Congratulations!!! The N-400 process is much easier (if you decide to go that route). I'm not sure what the record is for I-751 processing, but after 40 months of waiting, my wife filed her N-400. Four months later the I-751 and N-400 were both approved after a combo interview. We, also, had no RFEs or rejections. Again, congratulations!!!
  9. Yes, but if the consulate accepts it, they will process the I-130 directly.
  10. Sounds like you did everything correctly. Good job!! Your experience is valuable to other members.
  11. Insignificant, imo. I wouldn't worry about it.
  12. In what field of study? In what field are you try to secure a career?
  13. Answer is "Yes". It is easy to explain.
  14. You got lucky, imo. I wouldn't recommend doing that. I don't think that bringing in a large quantity of prescription drugs which are NOT for personal use is a good idea.
  15. I cleared the Visa Journey browser cookies, and the problem went away. I noticed that I had 2 sets of VJ cookies. www.visajourney.com visajourney.com
  16. Just started getting that error again using Windows 11 laptop. I will clear cookies again and test.
  17. I don't think text boxes are the issue. I would look at missed or inconsistent dates.
  18. With a valid job offer, he can request an expedite for the EAD.
  19. Once a person enters the US via an immigrant visa, CBP stamps an endorsement near the visa. The person then immediately becomes a legal resident, and the endorsed visa becomes a full-fledged temporary Green Card until the plastic one arrives (or 1 year). The person can immediately travel internationally if desired.
  20. The process gets a lot better after the I-751 is done. 1. I would pay them together. I used one check which included the form fee and the biometrics fee. 2. I would use joint bank account statements which cover the period of marriage, and which show how mingles funds are spent.
  21. On the day my wife received her interview notice, the USCIS estimate moved from 3 months to 6 months......What does that tell you? It tells me that there is no logic to USCIS estimates.
  22. I think your situation could be seen as an exceptional circumstance. Just explain the sequence of events. Good luck.
