  1. It was waived. Hopefully, the one on file will be re-used.
  2. ***I moved this topic to the Mexico, Latin, & South America regional forum for a specific consulate answer*** Personally, I'm not aware of any consulate immediately returning a passport with the visa inside these days. I have heard that was done many years ago.
  3. Yes. I should have said both must meet the requirements such as having filed taxes and domicile . Thanks for clarifying.
  4. I hope you calculated the 90 day window correctly. I'm not sure why people file I-751s so early. Waiting a few days makes no difference at all.....and it eliminates the worry. You are still early. It's been only 2 weeks. The fee waiver can delay the receipt notice too. Within the next month you should receive a response from USCIS. Hang in there. Once you get through this I-751, the process gets very easy.
  5. I have read of that happening. I think they are supposed to call 3 times before dismissing the issue.
  6. His testimony simply didn't fit the narrative.
  7. The request came from Trump through other officials as stated by Patel in an interview I saw yesterday.. The "Jan 6 committee" buried that information and lied to the public. It's very clear they had an agenda to condemn Trump from day one. Look at who was on the committee.
  8. Trump White House aide points finger at Jan. 6 National Guard call-up in 14th Amendment trial | The Hill " Patel, who was the chief of staff to acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, argued that it was instead D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser who delayed calls for the National Guard in the days before the riot. “Mayor Bowser wrote a letter herself on approximately Jan. 4. … declining further requests for National Guard services outside of the 346 National Guardsmen already authorized,” Patel said." He said that Trump had authorized the deployment of 10,000 to 20,000 National Guard troops to support law enforcement in multiple meetings he witnessed.
  9. Your spouse would still be the primary sponsor, and he must meet all the qualifications of sponsorship. Your sister would be the joint sponsor, who must also meet the requirements of sponsorship.
  10. They cannot enter the US as visitors with the intent to stay and adjust status. That is visa fraud. You can, however, submit I-130s for them to immigrate via IR-5 visas.
  11. Because all US citizens and Green card holders must report world-wide income regardless of where they reside or work.
  12. Probably could have been prevented if Trump's request for National Guard (several days earlier) had been granted.
  13. ***Moved to the Direct Consular Filing forum***

  17. That attorney is wrong if he/she told you to file an I-485 now. It will be denied. Find someone else.
  18. Welcome to the forum. As the spouse of a Green card holder, you cannot file an I-485 or I-765 (EAD) until your priority date is current. If she was a US citizen, you could file the I-485 immediately. See the monthly visa bulletin links below. You are currently category F2a. She can file an I-130 for you now (the sooner the better), but that is all you can do for now. In addition, you must remain in legal status. You will be barred from Adjustment of Status if you go out of status.
