    Aldi is the ONLY place we buy bacon. It is not unusual to see us buy 10 or 12 pounds at a time there. We buy their Lower Sodium Bacon....At $4.25 a pound, it's a good deal.

    Applying under the 5 year rule is extremely easy compared to the I-751. This is all we uploaded for wife's N-400 (5 year rule): 5 years Tax transcripts Proof of my 1st marriage Termination Proof of Wife's 1st Marriage Termination Wife's Green Card Our Marriage Certificate

    When will you be able to file under the 5 year rule? I can tell you that the process is pretty easy based on 5 year rule.

    Path of least resistance might be to get a Joint Sponsor in the US.

    You still have to show of evidence that you filed taxes.

    The source you posted does NOT say you can legally delay filing taxes for 3 years. It says after 3 years, you would lose any refund. You cannot delay filing taxes for 3 years if you want your immigration case to proceed. Your options are to file as Married Filing Separately now, then amending the return after spouse has a SSN.....or getting your spouse an ITIN, then filing a joint return.

    You said you could delay filing for 3 years.....If required to file for the most recent tax year, you have to provide a tax return or transcript with the I-864.

    Pay the $220 immigrant fee or you will never get the plastic Green Card. . If you marked the DS-260, the SS card will be mailed automatically.

    A copy of the tax returns you filed, along with all supporting documentation such as schedules, W2s, etc. is evidence of having filed taxes.

    In general, yes. However, there are variables such as background checks, individual adjudicator workload, etc. which affect the completion times of individual cases.
