no, not correct, it is since she became a green card holder. the green card has the date, resident since. that's the date she starts counting with

she has to be married for 3 years and be a resident for 3 years. she can apply for citizenship 90 days before her 3 years.

Did you follow the link?  She does NOT need a transit visa if she remains in the airport for the entire length of the stopover

To simply change aircraft a Philippines citizen does not need a transit visa for the Netherlands

Don't want to come out mean but more than 16 million people in USA suffer from depression and millions of them are on ssri's for treatment of panic attacks and anxiety. Have you actually been medically diagnosed with PTSD? Do you have it in writing from a doctor that your ex caused it? If not, then it's just heresay. Panic attacks, anxiety and depression are natural reactions to stress, excessive worry and in some cases they're hereditary. Women are more prone to them than men. Having that doesn't prove extreme cruelty in the least. It just sucks. Have you been abused physically? Have you ever called the police and have a police report of such?

I'm sorry you're going through this but like others said, trying for that waiver is going to be tough to prove and is a gamble at best.

    From another standpoint:

How can you PROVE that mental abuse caused your depression? What if your depression existed after moving to a new country, leaving your family and friends? You were adjusting to a new life, things started to sour. This is normal.

If you check that box, you're going to have to dig deeper and really push for that information. No one here is going to lie to you and tell you it's an easy path to take. Unless you have bonefide evidence, why are you making it harder on yourself?

My wife and I went through the US Citizens line. We asked and that's where they pointed us to go to. The guy opened and inspected the packet right then and there, put a bunch of stamps on several of the forms then put it on the side. She had to do two fingerprints and off we went, took maybe 2 minutes.

Like I wrote earlier in this thread, I only disagree about not being able to bring a parent. Not everyone immigrates here from Europe where their folks are taken care of by the system after retirement. In Asia they expect you to take care of them.

And as for the terrorist guy, I don't even know who came up with the diversity visas. That should definitely be eliminated.

I agree that there are serious problems with immigration but I don't agree with some of the categories they're trying to eliminate. Both you and I came here legally. It's not fair now to say: "Oh hey, I'm here already, time to close the gates for others who want to come here just like I did because I'd have to compete with them in the job market."
    Lmao, same here!

I agree with not bringing in siblings but in reality the process is so long (12 years+, or even 15 years plus in countries like the Philippines) that it doesn't even make a difference. Who the heck wants to wait that long? As for parents, it baffles me what the problem is, the son/daughter has to demonstrate the ability to support them anyways so they don't become public burden. My wife is the only child and we make a good living whereas her mom is uneducated and has to work crappy jobs for little to no money to support herself. We're more than willing and able to take care of her. Ofc we could just keep sending money to China but that sounds counter-intuitive.

You assume all legal immigrants come here for free health care insurance, medicare and foodstamps? This is what is being discussed here, not illegal immigration

I agree 100%, illegal immigration should be priority #1, not cutting off others who are immigrating legally

Again, we're talking about cutting off legal immigration. I came here as an immigrant too, so did my wife and we did it legally with a ton of paperwork and money instead of hopping over the fence. But this proposal cuts off legal immigration while negotiating with the left to let the illegals stay.

For those asking for the post with anti-immigration rants, let me just say that you asking the question means you wouldn't understand anyways, therefore there is no need point you to them.

In general, I am referring to the postings that are very in support of the proposed house GOP bill in totality and want it to be passed into law as it is. I think some of the laws are rather too extreme and could use some reviewing.

So many threads on here lately start with ‘so my parent just immigrated and has their green card what rights are they entitled to for healthcare, housing etc’ then get annoyed when it is pointed out that they signed the affidavit of support.

Try and look at what you have written from the viewpoint of others.
You met and fell in love with a USC MAN, he filed the paperwork for a K1 visa, brought you to the US, married you and filed AOS all in a timely fashion.

Within the short time you have been in the US ( and it would appear only since you got your green card) your sexuality has changed and you have met and fallen in love with a same sex partner residing in Honk King and want to know if you can now bring them to be with you.

You have to admit that based on what you have written it appears you married purely for the green card.

I am hoping this is a troll post, if it's not then based on what has been posted by the OP my sympathies lie with her husband.

    1.  She don't need you for that.  With a divorce, she can file the I-751 on her own.
    2.  She don't need you for that.  She can file for divorce on her own and file the I-751 on her own.
    3.  She don't need you for that either.  She can still get the divorce without your cooperation and file the I-751 on her own.
    4.  She don't need you for that either.  And it will work.  You created the perfect scenario for her.

You don't know what you are doing.  You were warned not to marry her.  You don't have a clue.  You have zero leverage.  She don't need you to divorce and file the I-751 on her own.

Also, as her husband, you are obligated morally and legally to support her.  Giving her room and board and all her basic necessities was not generosity or holding up a deal.  It's your legal obligation.  Also, I don't know any couple who makes a deal for room and board.  You have no idea what a marriage is.  You only wanted to use this woman to be a breadwinner while you stay at home and not work as posted in posts from 2014.

Divorce and go on with your life.
