As Wuozopo says, UK/London is a low fraud country, you have to remember a lot of countries marry without meeting their partners and obviously some people marry only for a GC.

I was asked 3 questions at my CR-1 interview, where did we meet, what was my wife's job and title, and where will we be living.

I'm totally convinced I was approved before I even arrived a the window for my interview!

I had been cr$pping myself before the interview, and it was soooooooooooooo easy!!

My good lady and I did exactly the same, we'd both been married before, didn't want all the drama of who/who not to invite!!

It didn't even come up at all. We married legally end of!!

K1 are almost always approved, unless you have some serious red flags/you're not single. If you meet basic requirements you should be fine.

You're also lucky. You have only 10 inches height difference. One more inch and that would be a serious red flag.

When travelling with my USC wife we go through the US Citizens line, and when we go to the UK, we go to the UK passport line, just present yourselves as a couple, we have never had an issue.

Hi there! I understand your frustration, I honestly do.  I know you didn't ask for my advice, but here it is anyway.  I was in your situation not long ago.  I was wishing every single day away while waiting for my future husband to have his K-1 visa in hand.  During that time, I think I placed a lot of unnecessary stress on both of us.  The K-1 process is not easy, it's not short, and it's highly unpredictable.  Try to enjoy what the two of you have together right now...today...in the present.  Learn about each other, teach each other slang from your respective countries, watch Netflix together over Skype, "share" Chinese food while talking on the phone.  Once you are together in the US, a whole other set of worries and stresses will come up based on the AOS process and learning to live together.  So enjoy your time "together" even when you are apart.  I know the time difference between the US and the UK is a ROYAL pain in the hind end and makes it difficult to talk when you're working a full-time job, but you'll get through this.  You never know what tomorrow might bring, so enjoy today.  You'll be together soon.

Unfortunately each country is different, there are countries that are very high fraud and the cases get examined with a magnifying glass and get RFE'd for minor things.

The UK is low fraud and generally cases get completed without many issues.

I was unlucky, I got an RFE for missing paperwork that was never missing!!

Yes my divorce absolute was 'missing' so we fedex'd a fresh copy to them, we knew the first one was there because we both did a tick and compare list before we sent the packet, anyway..............................
We waited and heard nothing, so my wife called to find out the problem, yes they had received the new paperwork, but it was not what they required, they required my divorce absolute...................!!???
So my wife (not known for her patience) made them read out the paperwork they had received and suddenly a bell went off, yes they had got my absolute.......................!! For those of you who don't know and American absolute is like a file of impressive paperwork, whereas the English one is a raggy piece of A4! They had the paperwork all the time, just didn't know what it was!! All that bull***t took 6 months to sort!

It's not easy, and the pain of the wait is real, and not invalid, but I am trying to look at the thorn and see the rose.

I have a woman who loves me and I love her. I have a good case that is likely to be approved. I have been able to visit with her for 6 months throughout our new relationship. I have a very good job to support us. She gets along with my kids from a previous marriage and the kids love her. The sun is shining and I have two healthy legs to actually walk outside in the sun and smell the roses.

What's a few days subtracted from forever anyway?

You need to stop focusing on cases being approved before yours, each case is individual, and each has its own nuances. Read through the other threads there are people on here who waited years. From filing to stepping off the aircraft at POE my case took 17 months, and my case was easy............................

You will drive yourself crazy by comparing each day.  NVC really don't care how long they take, you are trying to enter their country, why should they hurry?

Don't get fixated by other peoples timelines, each and every case is completely different, you may think your case is simple and easy, but they are all different.
For an example CR-1/IR-1 were quoted at 9-12 months......................my simple and easy case took 15 months, due to 'lost' paperwork.

You will need to learn the art of patience, this is the most frustrating process known to man!

Many people have tried to offer good advice, but they are all asking for full information, I'm not the first to question the facts (or lack of), there is a wealth of people to help you, but with information.
You have given a little information, initially it was bad officer, stupid decision. Now its because he looked at his facebook profile, I look forward to the next nugget of information.

You are kidding? $3000 would make no difference, everyone would just pay extra and still end up in the same cluttered mess!

My improvement would be to cancel all AOS who magically married on the 'spur' of the moment and decided to stay.

Send them back home and do the process correctly.

The process is not here to please, if it takes 6 months or 20 years, they really don't care what you think. Its not a grocery store!!
