That is not the case for me.  Only N-400 interview, no I-751 and IO officer did not ask any new documents and did not say anything about I-751, when  I mentioned about no  I-751 approval yet,  he said  that he was aware of it.  So passed N-400, but no decision.  However, each case is different and also each IO officer is different.  Best of luck with you upcoming interview and make sure to update your outcome

Since, Iraq is not a nation of banned list countries, my guess is that your citizenship will not be impacted.  Keep documentation, the places you visited and pictures and if asked during citizenship interview, you have all the documents.

Did you receive any notice that your I-751 was transfer to NBC?  If yes, you would expect that they NBC will send both your I-751 and  N-400 to local office 

if it is not more than 6 months outside the country and you are way below the outside country days limit.  I will just write Wednesday ( the day you left your city airport) and the day you arrive at your city airport .  It is more conservative estimate.  

Is your local office Birmingham , AL?  If not, may be after interview, your case might be handle by your local office to schedule an oath.  Check the frequency of oath ceremony in your local office.

Expired GC and extension letter combination can avoid secondary inspection ( 7 times in without secondary) and that was my experience, but when came back via JFK with I-551, I had to go to secondary. so that they can verify their own stamp.  Did not have any issue overseas.      

Just bring the new passport to the GE interview. I changed citizenships/passports after conditional approval and just told the CBP officer about it.  She added my US passport info in my account. I also brought the passport that I used for the application.

IO will understand and hopefully, you will be fine.  IO just want an official copy to close your case and approve it, you are honest and disclose everything, so you will be fine.  At this stage, you have noting to do , wait and get your approval.  I would go ahead and enjoy the planned trip.

An update regarding the interview.  It was very perfunctory, the CBP officers simply reviewed the application information (full name, birth date, place of birth, current address, work and travel history) and if there are any errors, they can be corrected.  One thing that was different is that on the electronic form, you cannot include Canada and Mexico in the travel history section, but the officer did include these (if it was applicable) on the form they were using.  Then the photo, finger prints and out the door.  They told us we would get the GE card in 10-14 days, but once it was fully approved, one's passport should already work.  The entire process took less than 10 minutes and they were nice at the Port Huron office as we arrived 45 minutes prior to our appointment time (I thought it was 12 noon), but they took care of us right away.

Good news is that we both got conditional approval today 9/4/2019, but could not get any appointment until Oct 26, 2019, that is also  2 hrs drive to Newark airport ( EWR), NJ.  The earliest appointment in Philadelphia airport is Dec 9, 2019.

I applied for my wife and for me today August, 30th, 2019.  Will see when I will get conditional approval.  Currently, Philadelphia airport has appointment for Dec 2, 2019.  Hope, will get conditional approval within 100 days.

Check your credit card payment receive time email from USCIS.  It might be 8/19, if it is 8/20, you have better chance. I was also excited like you, but instead of mid night ( was originally planned), I did ET 8 am and I was fine.  You will get a call for interview and depends on the IO , you might be approved or it can be denied. 

I-751 in NBC means, it will go to local office with N-400, take your wife with you even it is not convenient .  Usually N-400 interview is quick, 30 to 45 mins
