I don't think this would impact an N400 application.  Look at the N400 form section 12, but I don't see any question related to buying out one's contract.

    Good Luck!

The contract issue has nothing to do with immigration. It’s a civil matter between her and the hospital

Even before I-485 approval, she may change employer or job as long as her new job is in the same or similar occupational classification.
Please Google "American Competitiveness in the 21st Century Act" "AC21" or "I-140 Portability"

Changing the jobs or employers after getting GC is completely fine. The hospital may request reimbursement of expenses (attorney fee and I-140/I-485/medical exam fees) for her GC. However, it is a matter between her and the hospital. It's not USCIS' business.

Her GC was granted for her professional skill (especially Schedule A workers: nurses and physical therapists). Continuing the same or similar job would be appreciated, but not be required, I think.

Technically, it starts from your date of admission at POE as a conditional resident. That may seem like splitting hairs, as that date should be the same as the "Resident Since" date on your first green card, but USCIS has been known to screw up the GC date. I should know; they did it to me.

Yes, you're actually eligible to apply within 90 days before your 3rd anniversary. Beware of months with 31 days tho since you have to count them if you choose to do so during that time frame.

3 years from whichever happened later: your marriage or your green card was approved. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Resources/Citizenship & Naturalization Based Resources/A Guide to Naturalization/PDFs/M-480.pdf Then subtract 90 days: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator

Incorrect. Seems you need a visual; see Attachment A on page 3 of M-480, Naturalization Eligibility Worksheet

Bottom line is that the OP is now married.  They are now eligible to file the N400 under the 3-year rule due to their marriage.

Bottom line is you keep posting incorrect info. Method of obtaining green card is irrelevant. Length of residence and length of marriage to USC is - as geowrian is trying to tell you.

geowrian is right. The requirement for married-based naturalization is being married and having LPR in the last 3 years at the time of application. It DOES NOT matter how they obtained their LPR status in the first place

Source? Nothing stated above indicates this (or more precisely, that the 3 year eligibility is not an option).

On tonight's episode, this Filipina Jenny blatantly said that she hopes Larry proposes to her during that trip because she knows she will have a better life in America. God! How do these people get away with such things.

Lol Abby's exbf is an old American, now shes with another older American guy, clearly she's looking for an easy passport to the US. She used to work in the Dominican Republic where she met Chris, and I read somewhere that many young girla from Haiti are involved in sex trade in Dominican Republic. Lol obviously Chris and Abby are still in it! Haha

In our case was a mutual thing I think. We knew each other for like 3/4 years and then things moved to that direction as soon as he found a better job. My husband (then boyfriend) found this website and we took it from there. Lawyers wanted to charge us like $3000 for a very simple K1 visa case. We did it ourselves.

Ours was mutual.  We have known each other for a year.  Officially started dating in January.  Engaged in April.  I love her kids and they love me.  Things are tougher for jobs and opportunities in the Philippines and I have a great job here.  I want her kids to have the best possible chance at being successful so their odds are much better in America.  We started the K-1 process in early June.

We'd been talking a bit over a year before filing. Neither really suggested it - we discussed him moving to Sweden and me moving to the US and it made more sense for our situation at the moment for me to move. Mutual decision pretty much.

My visa was approved. I only showed my bank and credit card statements from my Bank account in bahrain, my contract, and salary certificate. I was honest in answering questions and CO ended up being more interested on my nursing field of specialization..
    Thanks for the replies.
