    You married on a whim?

Are you going back to your country to apply for CR-1? If not, be prepared for especially heavy scrutiny from USCIS.

It may depend on the state. In KS, on the marriage license the applicants can change their names to any name (shared or not).  My Dominican husband dropped his second last name. I would change it on the marriage license and that way you can avoid extra fees.

Daisy.Chain reacted to Gary and Alla in Father's permission for child to emigrate
The court order of sole custody would also have to specifically allow her to relocate the children to the USA, permanently. That ain't happening unless the father is some sort of dangerous criminal. Ukraine is very protective of father's rights. Until a few years ago your fiancee would have needed a letter of permission fromhim to enroll them in school, go to the doctor, or any other parental duty. Alla has a letter her mother obtained which is a "certificate of no father" as her father was not listed on her birth certificate and her mother needed this to do anything for her own daughter. (USSR) They stil lhave such a letter, though the need is not the same.
Be aware that in Ukraine, like here, there are attorneys that will TELL you they can get the court order, for a fee of course. They can't. Better to give the money to the father and pay him off.
These rules are not set by the Kiev consulate, they are Ukrainian (or international) laws and the US is not going to be involved in "kidnapping" so you have to do what is required by Ukraine law and it is a pretty strict one.

Falsely claiming to be a US Citizen is a lifetime ban from the US with no chance at a waiver. It is the single worst non-violent offense a foreigner can commit. You're toast.

    The second does not count.

You can sponsor your father, and your mother, they do not need to be married.

They can both come here, in fact I am pretty sure you can sponsor your step mother.

But they can not come here to practice polygamy.

Daisy.Chain got a reaction from TBoneTX in White House to End Exemption for Cubans Who Arrive Without Visas
OBAMA Ends the wet-foot dry-foot Cuban immigration policy.   I think Obama's doing it for the following reasons: 1) He wants to be known for normalizing relations with Cuba. Apparently he doesn't mind Cuba's brutal dictatorship and ZERO change in that policy, or the US's making unfounded concessions to that dictatorship. (See Cruz's video on Castro's death for a taste). The only thing I know of that has changed in Cuban immigration politics is that now Cuba says they will take back escapees.   2) He wants to slap back at Cuban Republicans (especially in Florida) who didn't vote blue. Florida is a key election state, and I think Cubans are the most conservative Latinos who legally vote.   However, regardless of what I think his motives are, the action of throwing out this policy does not seem such a bad idea. Moving to the US is a privilege, not a right, and having extreme need should not qualify one for a green card to the US. There is some part of me that wants to say "Yes, those fleeing tyranny should be able to come here," but I can't wholeheartedly champion it.

Now, what I want to know is:
    1) Will Trump reverse this (easily done with a stroke of the pen)
    2) WHY IS OBAMA ONLY TIGHTENING IMMIGRATION ON THE ONLY LARGE GROUP OF LATINOS (all immigrants?) THAT VOTES REPUBLICAN, WHILE THE "BACK DOOR" IS WIDE OPEN AND HE CHAMPIONS THE DREAM ACT?
    3) Rubio's response (as of the two sentences) I have seen two far looked unclear as far as responding to this actual policy, though he is clearly opposed to normalizing relations with Cuba. What will Cruz say?

    (Note: 2nd question is rhetorical)

Was there a reason you quit your job and not just took a leave? Don't forget you have to submit your taxes at least from the previous year (they supposedly ask for three years but at least one will be needed).

I would think if you keep switching jobs maybe there will be a concern of longevity within your job? But the best you can do is try, right?

I think the cisa process is easily do-able without paying for a service unless you have some kind of special circumstances. The guides on here make it easy to go through step by step. People are always helpful with questions.

My fiance got the K-1 visa and we will be married in a few weeks. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law just got approved for tourist visas to come to our wedding and for TEN YEAR MULTIPLE ENTRY visas! :)

I hope this is encouraging to someone else hoping for relatives to come! It's an expensive risk, but there are some positive outcomes!

We're all feeling SO thankful and hope for the best for anyone else trying something similar!

Your marriage plan is similar to what many folks do, including ourselves. We got married four days after her POE arrival. We submitted our AOS/EAD/AP application packets approximately two weeks after that. Our EAD/AP applications were approved in 69 days. We were fortunate, it took us 105 days to get our AOS approval.
File your AOS/EAD/AP applications as soon as possible after your marriage. There are no additional fees for EAD/AP if filed concurrently with your AOS. EAD/AP applications are being processed in 60-90 days. The notion of AOS processing in 60 days is an anomaly. and certainly not representative of the usual AOS processing time. You should check in the Fam.-based AOS Progress Forum on the reality of several months of waiting (often more) for an AOS interview, or even longer of a wait if you get an AOS interview waiver. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/131-adjustment-of-status-case-filing-and-progress-reports/
It is a general forum recommendation to concurrently file for the EAD/AP with your AOS. There are so many reasons that it just makes sense.

Nope,. the interviews are schedule dby the US Embassy/Consulate.. when your case gets approved, and sent to the DR, they will send you a letter with the interview letter with the day and time, and instructions to follow (fees, birth certificate, etc).
Take a day off to go the medical check up at the Consultorios de Visa with the interview letter, you don't have to make an appointment, but you have to go like 15 days before the day of the interview, then wait 3-5 days to pick up your results.
    Good luck!!
