Here is the latest from PAL on the LAX terminal situation.  It sounds like they will have extra golf carts available.

I just got my interview for my ROC today.. yup interview. I didn't file for N400 yet. And I probably will take this time to relax and think about that later.

I do have a separate thread where I will give info how it all went.. but to summarize it, the officer (who was the nicest officer of all the officers I've ever encountered in all the immigration/visa process I've ever been in) told us we are actually good and should wait for the letter or card (I was shocked it was that super easy, was expecting to be grilled to be honest) in 4 to 6 weeks.

Congratulations! That was fast! The green card right after the approval letter. Nice!

So, I also wanted to give a proper update on my end. I had a N-400 and i751 combo interview a week ago. Both of my cases were approved and my status changed to "placed in line for my oath ceremony". So I am really happy that I am almost done and hopefully I will become a citizen before xmas. Thank you all for your support and sharing your experiences all this time!

Hi Everyone, again thank you for the responses/advice. It helped!

Today was my interview, November 20th.

    So here's the story:

Our appointment was at 10 am, and we arrived 15 minutes before. Went through security check and then handed my appointment letter at to the lady at the desk. Everyone was super nice, I was nervous before entering the building, but the people so far were super friendly that it made me feel at ease. Anyways, we were sent to go to the second floor and sit by the door number they listed on my paper.

We found seats and almost exactly 10 am, the officer called our names. The officer was very nice, it was like talking to a boss you're friends with kind of vibe. She only asked us a few questions:

    1. When did we get married
    2. Our trips to my country
    3. How did we meet
    4. What's my birthday
    5. Whats our address
    6. Where did we get married
    7. If we had kids or pets

And then just pretty much like a normal conversation of how we started dating. But it was very brief. I did of course handed her my additional documents. She flipped through it but nothing that she stared at for a long time she probably just wanted to see what was in the envelope.

We asked out of curiosity why we were picked for interview and yes we lacked evidence according to the Vermont center. The officer who interviewed us said we are good and that the letter should arrive  4 to 6 weeks. I don't want to assume because she didn't exactly say we are approved, but she did say "You guys seem good and you should expect your thing within 4 to 6 weeks". Just to add, she said she didn't think that the interview was really necessary. That Vermont was probably just making sure.

But yeah it went so smooth I am still a bit in shock that that just happened. I really was expecting we were going to have an either strict or cranky officer.

I suggest searching google for example I-751 interview questions. There are a lot of websites that will provide basic questions as well as Stokes interview type of questions.  Also, try to imagine what you’d ask someone to find out about their marriage and write your own questions.

It’s understandable to be anxious for any type of interview. Be honest and practice with your husband ahead of time like you would for any job interview. That will raise your confidence level.

Also, I suggest not to worry about a hostile interviewer. There’s a field manual available to the public about USCIS personnel and what they’re required to do and look for. Parts of it are not available to the public, but any information you can gather and read will set you more at ease. Anyone can have a bad day. Think positive!

Additionally, I agree with the others about how to gather more evidence and what to gather. It does take leg work and time, but remember that it is the proof of a real marriage they’re looking for. It’s worth it!

Best wishes to you and your husband!

Good luck and don't stress. They might throw questions on you out of the blue but stay calm, positive and confident. Google some of the questions that they like to ask but they are very basic (when did you get married, birthdays of family members, how you both met, where you live, what you and your spouse do etc...) If your nerves take over, just take a deep breath and take your time. You submitted what you can and if you can bring extra evidence to the interview, do so. I always say, things can be explained, whether about insurance or lease or whatever you're concerned about. You guys are paying taxes and keeping financials together, so don't worry. Every case is different and they just want to know about you guys.

People might say if your marriage is real, there's nothing to worry about. That's not entirely true. Some of us get anxious, nervous and blank out. That is why it is important to just relax and be yourself. ❤️❤️❤️

This is so true. My wife and I have known each other for 13 years, married for 4.5, and when the IO finished his manual checks on our application, 1 month ago during our interview, he merely asked us how we met and what our married life has been like. We sort of both froze in regards to talking about our relationship. Together we stumbled through the answer but got through it.

Everything that I have read says financial co-mingling is the important aspect, everything else is just secondary to it. The more co-mingled your finances are, the better. So joint bank accounts, joint credit cards etc are important. I think adding your name to the condo, using a quit claim deed, would be beneficial in your case. I don't think adding your name to bills etc would really be of great value (but it'll help). One thing about the quit claim deed though, the bank can technically re-finance your loan since the owners have changed. They're likely not to do it, but since you're going to purchase a new home anyway it might not matter. You could also think about getting a joint pre-mortgage approval letter from the bank, that could help too.
