What is an "assault weapon"? Is a knife an assault weapon? A hammer? An automobile? Did the CO or the 221g actually request any additional information? A green 221g usually means AP which could mean many things, like additional background checks, or they are trying to get more information from your birth country (K1's seem to be quite difficult in many countries).
