Just to report for y'all information as a reference
 
had Oath (3/11/2022) this morning.  DONE 😃
 
 

I became a citizen this morning. Simple affair at the Milwaukee field office. Still hard to believe the journey is over. 

I asked for a couple of certified copies right after the ceremony and they very nicely took care of it. Something to consider if you need proof of citizenship while your original certificate is at the passport center.

The sad thing about this case is the people accused the poster of lying before all the facts came out and even as at now because he was on the defensive we don’t have all the facts.
 
For example he says he filed N400 and got citizenship as a minor. That’s incorrect because minors don’t file N400. He must be mistaken or something.
 
VJ members should pump the brakes a little and get all the facts before jumping on accusing people as liars. 
 
@Tizz can you clarify if you filed N400? Because if you did it means you were no longer a minor and any untruths on your N400 cannot be excused by “I was a minor”. 
 
Did you file N400 or did you acquire citizenship automatically without N400? It’s very important in your case in determining IF you can go ahead and file for your mother without your own citizenship being jeopardized.

I’m finally a US citizen.
My interview was schedule at 9:00am. I arrived 20 minutes earlier and went in the building. Security was very nice and who ever was checking in was very nice as well. 
 
I waited around 1 hour to be called and then the IO asked me to swear to tell the true. She started asking me for my passport, DL and GC. She checked my passport every paged though.
 
She asked me 6 questions and then she moved to the reading and writing test. Unfortunately the IPad wasn’t working so I had to do everything on a paper she gave me. After passing my civic, reading and writing she started with my N400 application.
 
She asked me for my current employer which I was actually going to update today since I’m not working in the same place. The she asked me why I took too many trips out of the US and I responded with the true about my wife and my dad in El Salvador. She asked me if I was leaving in El Salvador, if I was working or if I have any properties there to which I responded with the true (No).
 
I also got married after I submitted my n400. She asked me about my wife and info about her as well. She asked me I was planning to petition for her and my dad; to which I responded that in the future that is the plan. She asked me for my taxes and she checked the one from the last 2 years and she said it was okay. She made me sign the updates and gave me the letter saying my application was recommended for approval and she told me to wait outside. 
 
I waited for around 30 more minutes; I filled out a paper for the Oat (which is the same day in Orlando field office).
Oath didn’t take more than 10 minutes. 
 
Thank God I got approved today and also got the path the same day!

My interview was schedule for February 11, 2022.
Orlando field office. Filled June 18. 
Finally 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. Lots of praying for the people who are also waiting on an interview to be schedule 👏🏽👏🏽

I became a US citizen yesterday. Naturalized through marriage and 3 year rule 
I’ve included my timeline as well:
June 18 Filed and biometric reuse 
July 3: Case is being actively reviewed 
November 9: we scheduled your interview 
December 8: Interview 
Interview went well and I had a same day oath ceremony. 
Civics Questions:
Name one of my state’s senators
Name one of the longest rivers 
What ocean is on the west coast
Name one Native American tribe in US
Name one branch of government 
Name the highest court in the Land 
 
Sentence I had to read was “who can vote in a federal election”
 
I had to write “citizens can vote”
 
Everyone keep the faith. I know that’s so hard to hear especially for those of you who are still waiting. That has to be very frustrating. Please know we’re all in this together and the time is going to come. I know I will be able to call all of you “fellow Americans” very soon.

Successfully approved for Naturalization - see my signature/timeline below for more details and updates re: San Antonio USCIS office.
Very pleased with the support staff, hospitality and the Officer(s), their personable nature, and effort to streamline every bit of the N400 process.
Summary from the entire 40 min process - 
Checkin and wait time was approx 20 min..Interview was 20min and I was out by 2:15pm
Very organized and hospitable Staff at the entrance and checkin counter - No one other than applicant and attorney allowed inside (delayed entry to 1:15pm instead of 1pm for 1:15pm appointment - systems down)
Interview - Basic Civics Test (stopped at Q6), Yes/No questions from N400, reading and writing test - using a tablet..
Docs Reviewed - Permanent Greencard and Passport. No other docs requested at interview
Approved for Naturalization immediately. As soon as interview was done, escorted to waiting area after checkin counter - where I was told to wait to receive my Schedule Oath Ceremony letter - checked online on myuscis while waiting - officer had already updated status to Oath Ceremony notice was mailed
 

My journey is finally over. I did have same day oath ceremony because my interview was early morning at 8. They do not do same day oath if appointment was later in the day.
Oath happened at 2:00. They started checking people in at 1:30.

Oh God! What a beautiful day! I even don't know where do I start lol
I was scheduled for my interview at 830, so came in at 815, at 825 was called by the officer, the officer was extremely nice, asked me 6 questions, then asked me to read "where is the white house" and to write the white house is in Washington DC. Then went over my n400, at 835 he told me congratulations, please wait in the waiting room, at 9 exactly my name was called by another officer who was holding my naturalization certificate in his hand, so he took me into a room and read the oath, I repeated after him the full oath, then he gave me my certificate, said congratulations and took me outside, I left the building at 9 10, then I ran to DMV and upgraded my real ID driver's license to enhanced driver's license for US citizens only (I maid an appointment for it online a week ago) then I ran to the passport agency and apply for a first time passport, it will be ready in 15 minutes, (made an appointment by phone by waiting over 3 hours on the line 2 weeks ago)
So this is pretty much it

Interview Was Scheduled
On August 2, 2021, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization
 
Interview is set for Sept. 3rd in Montgomery, AL.
 
I told my husband to start studying more.  

Just a quick update from the San Antonio Field Office. We had our interview today (07/19/2021) in the AM and we had the oath ceremony at 1:30 - 2:30 pm. It seems there are 90 slots for same day oath (split into two sessions of 45). All the rest are scheduled for later in the week (on Fridays from what I heard). If your interview is early in the day you should fit into the 90 people slot but if your interview is after 10:30 or 11:00, try to get in for your appointment as early as possible. If you are amonst the last people to get in for your 11:00 am slot you might miss the 90 people slots. Good luck. Blessed to have needed only *52 days* from application to oath.

Hello Everyone small update regarding our case, We applied N-400 under 3 years rule (I 751 still pending since April 2020). We got the N-400 interview notice for August 2021. I hope we will get combo interview and end our USCIS journey.
(Local office is Columbus OH)
