As others have mentioned, contact Ombudsman. That's what I did when they made a mistake. Make sure you keep all your proof, remember the dates and all the  details because they won't easily admit they were wrong. I had a similar issue and fought hard for it. It was a success with Ombudsman's help.

That is correct. Divorce is not possible in the PH but it is in the US that the USC can file. Philippines will recognize it via court process as the other VJ member mentioned.

That's kinda what I was thinking. I am not saying that your OP's fiancee doesn't speak fluent English but sometimes, things can be misinterpreted. Ex. When my husband and uncle spoke and my husband said Hey! (in a neutral way, like Hi, my uncle(Filipino) took it as disrespectful.

OP, I am sorry to hear about the denial. Unless they made a real error and have records, your best choice may be CR1.

I hear you but some people like myself can't imagine life without working. I need a job to stay sane and cannot just let my husband work alone. My other reason is, I didn't get married just to be taken cared of. I want to be able to take care of my husband too if a time comes that he is not able to. We are back up to each other.  For people like us, working is self-fulfilling.  For some, being a full-time housewife is fulfilling. Not to mention for us Filipinos, most of us usually have the "responsibility" to our families.

Just to make sure though, have her get CENOMAR to check if she has any marriages recorded.

It is hard to find a job here! I was offered a job little over a month after I started applying. The initial offer was $10.30 BUT I was denied with the background check because of the incorrect format of my name in my SSN. After 3 weeks, I was offered another job starting pay was over $40k a year.

What I can advised, apply as many as you can and not focus on one application. Eventually, you'll get an offer.

Also, for you to not be limited, driving will be very essential unless you live in a city where public transpo is very accessible.

We thought of talking to someone about it but we decided to let it go since the offer isn't that good anyway. But I didn't personally know that this is illegal. Thank you for the information! I was even done with my drug test then lol.

I am sorry to hear about your marriage and specially your father's situation. Once your conditional gc expired without you filing for the ROC and receiving the extension, you will lose your resident status in the US. This means if for some reason you decided that you wanted to go back or your relationship with your husband improves, a new petition will be filed for you.

POA got a reaction from Orangesapples in Tourist visa for my mother and my 2 little sisters
My friend's mom got a tourist visa. She is 60+  and never worked. She has 8 grandkids and 3 children. She doesn't have any money either. My friend filled in the DS-160 and put that she is paying for the trip. She works and make around $45k a year.

My cousin and her husband works, no properties and no big money in the bank,  they were in their early 30s when they got their visa. One works at a restaurant and her husband was a bartender.

There is always no chance of getting a visa if you don't apply. Getting it though really depends on how the consul will feel about the person applying for one. If they see any sign of any possibility of not coming back, then they won't get it.

Annulment is the way to go if it wasn't consummated. I am sorry to hear about another this but I admire your braveness as I may call for trying it again with another pinay. It's true, we are not all bad but maybe try knowing them well, whatever nationality you may choose. You might still have a chance to pull the I-864. Once you succeed with that, she will definitely need to go home or worst, stay here illegally. Wish you all the best and be careful on your next choice. Don't ignore the red flags.

I entered in CR-1. Any state will be fine.  They will ask him to go to the visitors lane. When I entered, LAX, when it was already my turn, I was asked by the immigration officer to go to a different window and another officer came by and was taken to a different window to fill out some papers and was given a paper about me entering as an immigrant. Pretty smooth.
