What's even worse I took my teenage daughter and her friends to see O'town (the band) when they came to our area to give one of their early performances.  So early on that, as I recall, it was free!

Tell me what part of "before deregulation" do you remember?  I grew up in that regulated period and remember much of it, and I can tell you people are doing much better now than back then.  Even the poor folks have life easier.  I have the same business my father had and I can afford a lot more than he did.  Looking at all groups of people there is no comparison of then and now.  When I was a kid a TV was a major purchase, and it was black and white.  Now folks have several huge TVs.  Same for cars, etc.  International travel was for the wealthy.

My ex, an American woman, never did figure out the thermostat. It was a Nest or something like it. There was a point she did figure it out, but I had an app and just reset it, so she decided she hadn't figured it out after all.

I realize that I rail against the idiot Democrats and their mouthpieces in the mainstream media, but why has no one in those circles brought up Crowdstrike, Biden's actual quid pro quo, or the actions of the Democrat senators and reps with respect to the Ukraine?  Occasionally, I hear someone question Biden's actions with the leaders of the Ukraine where he threatened them in person (bragging about it with his globalist buddies later) and I hear it said that everyone wanted that person out so we should ignore it.  That is immaterial to the argument as Joe had a huge conflict of interest in pressuring a foreign leader which would lead to pressure being removed from his son.

Just the opposite in my office.  The women always want it COLD while I am freezing.  Of course I have lived in FL the past 32+ years so I expect it to be nice and comfortably warm.  The menopausal women always want it colder.  Lucky this time of year when it is so hot outside the AC will only take it down to 73 or 74 no matter how low they set it.  Of course I, the boss, have no say in the matter.  And the wife being from Russia wants to feel as if she is in Siberia.
 
Wife is so happy now as we are vacationing in Czech republic, and the weather is cool.
